At what point do you start introducing toys and other types of stimulation? It seems it would be pretty boring in the brooding box.

At this point, they pretty much eat and sleep (just like babies). In the next week they will transition to a temporary cage, where they have more access to stimuli as they become more active. They won’t get toys for a while, but varied perches will let them start exploring/climbing around. Just need to make sure they are feathered up enough that they won’t get chilled outside the brooder.
