I needed a quick and easy towel topper and this one is it. Did a bunch of towels in an afternoon. After I was finished, I put Fray Check on the holes. Thank you so much for this pattern.

you are right your doing a Double Crochet .. a 1/2 double pulls through all loops at the same time Thanks for the TUT

Love this! I use hook stitch markers with the size of the hook I use so I don't have to leave the hook with the project.

Can also use an awl tool from the hardware store to make the holes through the towel at the top instead of using a tiny crochet hook. This worked better for me.
