It was not just the campaign, but the response... & how idiotic they assume ppl that buy designer & luxury products must be. It was offensive for more than one reason. Not going to lose sleep w/o balenciaga in my life, or lacking the bag that Kim Kardashian's pushing. Not to mention, isnt balenciaga at fault for giving the Kardashians AND Kanye the sense that they deserve a seat at the "fashion/designer table" in the first place...??? I’ll not be buying anything balenciaga going forwards for obvious reasons. Trends that in loving are the suede, denim and berry. Dior have a djoy in mulberry and I’m seriously tempted. Same with a few jaquemus denim bags ❤

Beyond impressive!!! From Steph to Steph, you rock! What an incredible overview 😊; I knew in general some of the big trends, but this really was valuable in breaking it all down. In showing the various options that there are and explaining them, it’s less overwhelming. Balenciaga is forgiven (kinda) but not forgotten. And how they’ve handled the whole scandal is still leaving me speechless, whilst they have apologized; the people responsible still haven’t learned from anything, no remorse was felt.

Great video. I LOVE the belted bag trend. I wish I could afford the Miu Miu or the Celine Conti. I personally can't budget on the luxury level, but it still works well as an inspiration. I just scored a really nice, slightly preloved, slouchy Jimmy Choo leather tote in a spot on trend bordeaux with gold hardware that makes me happy enough. From all the others in the video, I really like the Loewe Squeeze (and her Flamenco sister).

Such an excellent and in-depth review of so many bags Steph. Your research is commendable! I’m on board 💯 with all things Celine and as I have mentioned before, you influenced me to buy the Celine 16 Small (black). I also bought the Celine Cabas 16 (tan). I love love love LV’s new Capucines bag in the beautiful Millesime leather. It looks so luxurious! The Margaux bag in suede is also gorgeous! I liked the Bottega Andiamo bag, but in leather. Where I live suede is not a wise option. Humidity and heat will destroy suede, so is a No-No. Balenciaga still creeps me out so its a no. Most of the others were wonderful.

What I'm really looking for, and it's quite hard to find on both the luxury and high-street market, is no (or truly minimal) hardware. I'm really interested in investing in bags that I can wear with both silver and gold jewelry and the handbag hardware really gets in the way of that (I don't believe in matchy matchy but with bags and jewelry it really can clash). It's very frustrating , for instance, to have a great black bag, put on my gold jewelry, but the noticeable silver hardware makes it a no-go.

Hey! Ah yes a very valid point, maybe something like The Margaux from The Row would work as that is very minimal hardware. You need something with leather handles and a tote so there isn't metal on the fastening.

Balenciaga rodeo feels like a fendi peekaboos with that structured slouchy look. Too many new bags looking like others. Frankly, Loewe is one of the few brands who launches new stuff, - puzzle, flamenco, gate, squeeze….

Not a fan of these trends. I agree with not having huge logos all over my bags, but I find a lot of these styles to be too plain and just boring. A lot of these bags reminiscent of Michael Kors and Coach. Not premium luxury brands. Snoozefest.
