he may be a good handball player, but he is zero from a human being.. Not to respond to the extended hand of apology to a handball great like Domagoj Duvnjak is pathetic to say the least. and all that in a normal and harmless handball duel. With his behavior, this handball player is ruining the reputation of a renowned world handball power such as Denmark.

I do agree that he should have accepted the apology however as far as I know Gidsel have played against Duvnjak before where he has acted violently against Gidsel several times. In an interview he said that he didn’t mind being knocked down but that fists did not belong in handball. I think that it’s safe to say that what happened was just bad luck and not intended at all and I respect Duvnjak for apologizing and as mentioned earlier I do also think that Gidsel should’ve accepted it but given how imo he had been treated violently several times both in this match (which I’d say was not harmless at all) and earlier ones I can’t blame him for being too angry and frustrated at the time. I personally think it’s a bit much to say that he is ruining the team’s reputation but rather that he made a mistake while trying to clarify his boundaries

"Ruining the reputation" - literally no one cares outside of Croatia. He set a boundary against an act that was completely out of line and doesn't belong in handball. Duvnjak was or sure the one being a terrible role model here and doing damage to the reputation of handball, if you want to use that kind of wording. You do not have to shake hands with an agressor, and it doesn't matter who he is. Also, they talked afterwards and everything was fine, so why the drama, omg.
