when I was a schoolboy, around 1979, my father showed me various blows to the joints and ligaments of the legs. In his youth, he served in a special unit. Their instructor admitted that the basis of the technique is Japanese Jiu jitsu. I used a lot of the things shown in the video at school when I was fighting ))
After all these years, I still never get tired of watching Miyahira. That dude is a true badass.

@@axelstone3131 agree with u, bro. it is a bit disappointing that such master is still overwhelmed by his ego. he should had been more humble. (i'm hoping too much, maybe. i wish a master is both wise in mind and skillful in techniques)

I like the way 2 masters talk to each other, very humble and listen carefully what the other says

Low kicks, besides being more energy efficient, also minimize exposing yourself to your opponent. The kick to the ankle aims to unbalance your opponent, then you can move in with your next attack.

Its Not about creating an Unbalance situation. Foot-Sweeps and leg takedowns are different techniques. When you have achieved masterclass level short-range output in such kicks... the kind of pain and injury that can be delivered, can end the fight. Its like getting hit by a sledge-hammer, to the Ankle.
