Thx for all the tips! It's weird though. On most videos i've seen of that piece, the 3rd note of mordent seems to be play in the same time that the beat with the left hand, and not the first note. As i'm starting to learn this, i'm not really quite sure of what i should do :)

Thank you for writing! There will be many opinions on exactly how to play the mordent. Most "scholars" will say to start the mordent on the beat. However, it sounds good many ways so I would say play it how you like!

Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Händel music is full of hidden treasures. I love the whole piece, but at measure 31 a new melodic material appears and it's gorgeous. I believe it's a ostinato but I'm not sure. One last question about this piece. Do you what's happening in terms of harmonic analysis at measure 35?
@OlympiaPiano3 жыл бұрын
Glad to finally get it done! Yes it is a wonderful piece. With regards to m. 31-34 you could call it a rhythmic ostinato--harmonically and melodically it is a very interesting section where he is using a 4-3 suspension (G to F# in lower RH voice) then the way he uses the Eb in the bass in m. 33 creates another 2-1 suspension which really brings us to the dominant chord. With regards to m. 35 it is a b diminished 7 chord which is the secondary dominant of Cm. So vii/iv in this case.
