Great orchestra, excellent singers, beautiful stage. I love the Teatre Caen's baroque opera productions. Bravi!

I like the use of the alternate instrumentation in the overture: recorder, violin, oboe... Great!

E' un po' strano associare la musica di Handel e la gestualità barocca con questa ambientazione trecentesca. Ma è bello bedere un'opera di Handel che, una volta tanto, non è ambientata negli anni '20-'30-'40! E (sia detto senza offesa verso tanti artisti che amo) sono contento anche di sentire una donna che canta (bene) con la sua voce.

It seems to me that in the ouverture the winds were just barely keeping tongues and fingers up to the tempo- a tempo that works for strings can sound too rushed, or worse, sloppy.
