Momentary is useful for rifle...Pistol just go to constant...Unless you're on a secret squirrel mission AND using a supressed pistol as an offensive weapon which case you don't need this information anyway..I go constant on with pistol 99.9% of the time..Even if I'm searching bumps in the night in my house..That's how I feel about it

Thank you for this. You confirmed what I was already thinking - I need some phlster arc switches for my tlr hls so I can reach them easier with these little sausages I have. Using the trigger finger always made the most sense to me but I have difficulty with that now.

I've always stretched my support hand to initiate momentary light with my thumb. My rationale was putting my light on constant would make me more of a target than if it were going on and off. I really like your argument that grip has been compromised from the start if you are trying to hold the light on while shooting. I'll have to rethink my stance on this now. Having my light on constant makes me uncomfortable for some reason, and it may be a baseless fear!

you will probably never get in a real gunfight in your life, and if it does happen it will probably never happen in pitch darkness, you will only be a target with the light on in pitch darkness. any gunfight u will have which will probably never happen, will happen with some ambient light and thats enough to make u a target whether you have your light on or not so dont worry about it, just keep the goddamn light on

I use my left hand thumb for the light but I turn my safety of with my draw hand thumb. I need a safariland als holdster I have a 50 dollar kydex holster made for the crimson trace 208 light would that light fit with the insight technology holdster I dont have the money to spend on a 300 dollar light I might as well buy a new gun
