@@bunk95 No I don't own any SMG. I wish I had the proper licensing and money to do so. I don't think you can just rearrange firearms, the design set in stone.

Nice piece of history but I thought I'd see it in action,I've had Uzis,Mac 10,in 9 and 45 and British Sten , point is they are fun AF to shoot but owning them has become out of financial reach for most Americans and that needs to be changed 😢

@@sys3248 not sure but usually the main goal in smgs is to lower the rate of fire not increase it. But theres many ways to increase the rof.

9mm are such toy pistols in my opinion. I can't for some reason consider 9mm ever being more than pistol ammo.

It is just pistol ammo. Sub machine guns use pistol ammo, most use 9mm ammo some use 45 acp some 10mm, 22lr etc. But these are all pistol caliber. The bullet doesn't change when chambered in a sub machine gun. 9mm is the go to caliber for submachine guns as most platforms are chambered for it. There's also a slight increase in velocity when coming out of a longer barrel. I can't imagine why you would call it a toy. It's not the most powerful but certainly not a toy, neither is 22lr.

@@meekgreek9922 i couldn't consider them beyond toy ammunition because SWAT units cannot inflict substantial damage through thick doors and armor. Although i am aware that special forces, like in germany, use MP5s to an extent which is a 9mm caliber. Whether that's completely the case, i do not know, neither do i wish to know too much about these things. Not my cup of tea. I just like looking at their unique mechanisms and overall assembling, designs, iterations. Especially the older generations which are straightforward but still complex.

@@VinnyUnion Every platform has its purpose. But it also depends on the load. For example, the Russians use two 9mm loads designed specially for armor penetration. And 9mm had superior penetration over 45.
