Exceptional craftsmanship. I was always interested/amazed at shoe making. These craftsmen work in somewhat primitive conditions and produce such work. Imagine what they could do in an updated shop.

Recently I got the soles of my leather shoes replaced by one such cobbler in India. He also replaced portions of the inner lining that had worn out with leather. The new soles were pasted as well as sewed in place. Total cost of material and labour was only Rs. 500 ($6). In this video the soles are pasted and not stitched. So after a couple of years they will come out. But not an issue as they can be pasted and stitched in place quite inexpensively

@@Однако-в3й Это изделие и стоит недорого ибо рассчитано на два сезона... в СССР делали такие же только каченствот их было низким и по сырью и по виду и по носкости... я их хорошо помню по детским годам... все хорошее из обуви привозили с Югославии, Австрии, чехословакии ГДР и т.д. ...Была и подпольная обувь иммитирующая заграничные фирмы...Например такую шили подпольные цеха у нас в Одессе а продавали их цыгане на "толчке"

True it's low level shoe production but their tech consists of a washing machine motor grinder a couple pieces of iron, some wood forms, a hammer and the little wooden oven to warm and soften the shoes and soles and maybe make a cheese sandwich for lunch. It is amazing.

Hola.. saludos personas, no es mas facil trabajar sobre una mesa y sentarse en una silla, seria mas facil trabajar, hacer los zapatos o sandalias, ¿no les duelen las piernas, los pies sentadoa de esa manera en el suelo? imagino que si les han de doler y tambien se les han de entumir por esa postura, pienso que sentados en una mesa con su silla pondrias sus cosas y trabajar muy agusto.. saludos personas son increibles sus trabajos en verdad unas verdaderas obras de arte, Dios Los Bendiga Siempre.. saludos..
