Silver Spring Ring Clasp
handmadeTo bend the empty tube round, I used the technique learned from a colleague's blog userblogs.ganoksin.com/davidcr... , it's fast and free of the acid passages I used in the past.

40 years of being a smith, and I'd never seen that technique for using the hooked steel rod for bending tube into rings. FANTASTIC! Have to try it -- THANKS!

Thank you. I was so curious as to how the clasps were made and how they worked. This video answered all my questions, and the gact you made it so large so it could be seen!!! So many silversmithing videos I've been researching for a writing project have the problem of everything being so small, I can't see what's happening past the fingers. This video didn't have that problem at all! Good choice.

This is just the coolest clasp fabrication. I love the tube curling. I don’t have a draw bench but am wondering if I have the muscle to pull it by hand. Haha! Probably not, I’m gettin old. I absolutely love your videos.

Thanks I use number 360. To polish using abrasive pastes and diamond pasta with crimper and cotton brushes.
