I generally don't do trial runs with clamps except the belt clamp because i don't use it much. Nice sharp work.

I really like this Matt. I'm glad you decided to add the 'Jon Peters' style frame. It really sets it off. The only suggestion I have would be to put a walnut spline in each corner of the maple frame. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Looks really nice! With the frame making for a dark „shadow“ effect, I’d probably have tried to get the clock itself in there in a way that it wouldn’t touch the black part, and have a holes going through all the way. And added LED lighting, for a very fancy appearance.

Thanks, my first thought was to have the holes go all the way through and have a painted background behind them. I would have different colors for the 4 main numbers than the rest.

I am working on a walnut cutoff with holes filled in with black epoxy as a wall clock. The thing I am kinda stuck on is choosing movement/hands/numbers. How did you go about figuring out the movement and hand size for the clock you made? The one I am working on will likely be larger and having never done a clock, not terribly sure how to choose the hardware mentioned. Not concerned about what to use for numbers specifically, mainly the movement and hands being the right size. Any advice/recommendations would be wonderful.

Another great vid good sir, well done,,,,,,,, but every time I use my forstner bits the way that you did to cut out the back of the clock; my forstner bits always jump around. There not that old, BUT my speed of the drill press is not that high either. Any ideas why mine jump around so much please ????
