HANDS ON! Adoption, moving and MAY lambing!

The first move is always chaotic - but the ewes need to move to the fresh grass - it’s a noisy afair! I can't remember the lambing channel I was watching - one of the youtubers had a single lamb and when it was born it was 16kg - I know it was massive

April certainly has been so very full-on with all the challenges you faced and overcame. The livestock are looking great and are a credit to you Joanna. When we have a "Mackerel Sky" here in South-east Queensland Australia it's quite often the prelude to a few warmer days with (80% of the time) south-east winds. I'm sure It would probably be a different weather scenario in Derbyshire being in the Northern Hemisphere but that's what occurs here where I am. So I hope there are some fine and sunny days ahead for you Joanna. Well done and take care.

Lambs always get bigger as spring goes on more feeding eaten want be in bare field until lamb putting lamb on do it before ewe lambs bucket warm water wash two in take it that way Great job

Hi Dulcie, thank you I’m glad you like the lambs !! So when the lambs are born yellow , it’s when the birth is slow the lambs do their first poo while inside the ewe , it’s called meconium and it’s a sign the lamb was getting in distress - x
