You can't switch players in the PB! This is the chief issue with the Line-sleeve method of play: when in penalty mins., the stack of the player in the box should be off the game board for sake of both clarity & realism.

For stat keeping purposes it seems like every shot attempt come with 2 "assisting" passers. Does every goal that comes from the 3-player (eg, 5,3,1) setup also have 2 assists? When would you have 1 or 0 assists on a goal?

I have a game question and new to playing if you can help me answer it. So 2nd period, 4v4 in normal minutes (several penalties happened). Shot is missed but shot roll total was 5, so on Goalie Save chat, the shot was deflected and O2 gets the rebound shot, except O2 was the vacant position for the Power Play. What happens then? Do I choose a different player to take the rebound shot or something else? The rulebook doesn't say what to do in that situation for a vacant position. Thanks in advance!

Al, nice video on Hockey Blast. I have the game myself and am still trying to get used to it. How did your series turn out? You said it was 3-0 Flyers, ouch, I would've hoped the Pens would do better. Anyway, how long does it typically take you to play?

+Tim Carroll Hey Tim, yeah, I was hoping for a better result, but it was a 4-0 sweep! If I use the grid method, a game will take about 10 minutes to set up, then about 30 minutes to play - depending on how many lulls and penalties there are.

Hi Al,Great video review. I am interested in purchasing the 'sleeves' for my player cards that I use and I heard you mention Staples as a place to obtain them. Do you have a link to the product that you purchased? There are several versions on Staples website and I am not seeing the ones that you have that sleeve several cards side by side.Thanks, Tim

Nice video - interesting to see how the game plays out. Right now, I only play SOM baseball, but I've been thinking about expanding into another sport. I'm intrigued by Hockey Blast - I might pull the trigger soon. Do you find that it can be enjoyable even by someone who doesn't follow hockey very closely?

Al, do you think you could tweak the Second Season play by play sheet by retaining the football field but removing the clock element and instead adding more lines of pbp? I always seem to run out of space but I do like having the field to mark off distances. I keep time on your updated stat sheet. Thanks.
