►Why: Bash scripting is used to save time, reduce human error, and efficiently manage system operations by automating repetitive or complex tasks.
► How: write commands in a .sh file, make it executable, and run it in the terminal with chmod +x..

Hi. I cannot seem to find BASH Scripting mentioned in the SYO-701 Sec+ Exam Objectives from the CompTia website (the only mention looks like BASH is an acronym to know the meaning of). Additionally, the popular study guide I purchased recently and other well-known industry leading KZbin channels have not mentioned this as tested-for exam material. Are folks who are currently studying to pass the Sec+ exam going to need to know how to do BASH scripting for the exam? This is the only mention of it I have seen so far.

You don't need to learn scripting such as bash to clear the security+ 701 exam. But it's good to have scripting knowledge.
