Sōkō Edition SBGH295 - Inspired by Autumn’s First Frost.
Marking the end of Autumn at the moment when the frost first embraces the forest, SBGH295 Sōkō Frost is one of two new, US-exclusive Special Edition timepieces exploring the Japanese sekki. Featuring a fine texture that is inspired by the clear blue skies over the Sea of Japan in early winter, the kirazuri “ice blue” dial is a new interpretation of a dial first introduced in 2018. The 62GS case, reimagined from a timepiece launched in 1967, features a mirrored, multi-sided design and a wide, bezel-free dial opening. The case is finished via Grand Seiko’s renowned Zaratsu polishing technique.
Reinterpretations of the past.
Both Sōkō models use modern reinterpretations of Grand Seiko models from 1967, the 44GS and 62GS. The 44GS design used on the SBGA471 set the standard for all Grand Seiko design moving forward while the 62GS, used on SBGH295, was the first self-winding Grand Seiko model.

Caliber 9S85 is the result of many years of development in both the design and manufacture of components and in the materials themselves. It features a precision rate of +5 to -3 seconds a day and a 55-hour power reserve, while offering a higher oscillation rate of ten beats per second to ensure greater long-term accuracy.

Love it Love it Love it! 62GS case is killer! Chris your wrong tho. This is not the perfect GS. My Minamo is! Which is what I’m wearing today. Why, because it’s awesome and LTJ got it for me! I also noticed you changed the youtube picture to the Minamo as well. Or is it the Lake Suwa… This Soko is a hard one to pass up. I’m gonna wait tho. I‘m hoping GS puts out a titanium 62GS case, 9RA2 movement, and a sparkling blue dial like the SBGJ249 “Shosho”. Great video Chris! Sorry I can’t tell the difference in cameras. I would have to see a side by side comparison.

Cant tell which shots were taken with the new 📸 but they all look really good. Super crisp and the dial detail shows👍🏼 Well done as usual Chris

Enjoyed the review Chris. Good addition to the Soko line up. Love my SBGA427 which i wore yesterday. Got the Bremont Broadsword strapped on wrist today.

The super close-up with the seconds hand appearing horizontal is a new shot. And can I order just the strap? I really like that strap. 20 or 19mm lug to lug?

That shot is definitely using the new camera! Let me find out about ordering just the strap for you. It's 20.7mm so closer to a 21mm.

i think the date is on a silver background actually from what i can see... And I just traded my SBGA407 Skyflake with 2 other watches for an unworn 2-tone Sky-Dweller, but I will certainly get another GS, incredible pieces.

Are the zoomed pan shots done with your new camera? Nice clarity and definition on those shots. Loving the Seiko Astron i picked up on Dec 31 from you Chris. Very reminiscent of my black Seiko Titanium Chrono I wore as a pilot back in the late 1980's and 1990's...

Yes they are! All of the macro shots are the new camera, while the ones that I'm holding are from a different lens though on my normal camera. Glad you are loving the Astron!

@@Littletreasury so I’m seeing two changes? I thought the macro shots looked extra crispy but the hand held shots seemed to have a shallower depth of field which I thought might be sensor size. New lens makes sense!

Dude, you say It would be perfect if it was Ti and springdrive, just get the SBGA 387. You’re missing the point. 36,000 bph IS the point of this watch with the insane dial. Some people Don’t want springdrive. Basically you just DON’T get this watch.
