I am still having a hard time to get it up and down, descaling is also a huge hassle, but other then that great purchase if you have a lots of ironing to tackle, and want to spend that sort of money, it sure doesn’t come cheap

The black pad you put under the iron at 1:28 belongs inside the iron compartment in case iron is still warm. The iron rests on either side of the iron compartment cover. Great review though!

Laurastar wins over every time !!! I iron all day in my job and Miele have no idea ... Every single item that we have purchased from Miele Has problems . !! I have given Miele a chance but would never ever buy a Miele Fashion master . Buy a Laurastar Cheers V

This is more of a steam iron than a traditional dry iron with steam. I use a Karcher and you can have it on the highest settings when in steam mode as the steam is basically a cushion and the purpose of using steam.

At that price the ironing board should be electrically folding.

Maybe use distilled water only (from grocery store), or in whatever structure you build to house this expensive equipment, you may have a $30k Swiss made water filtration system that would help avoid scale/calcium build-up. Just get some hotsy-totsy water filtration system if you can't go the grocery. Where's the workspace climate control adjustment? $2k, I expected more. Though, it is fine. My Miele dishwasher is designed to last for 30 years, and after 3, it is legit indeed, but was $1500, and I use it every day.... the iron.. not sure about this one. My 20 year old $35 Rowenta has lost some of its teflon... searching continues lol

The system has a filter descaling system, I have one and only change the filter once a year. No matter at all if you use normal water.

Never buy a Miele appliance if you live in NZ ..... Really bad customer support . I've been waiting for almost 6 months for Miele to correct a problem on our $41 k roller iron ... go figure ? I would also say to people looking at an ironing set up >>> Go look at Laurastar ... Great product and they have backup unlike Miele ..

Yeah and it can also break down right after the waranty expires. That's what happend to me and i was i fool to buy a second one after the first one broke down. A 2000$ machine with only a 2 year waranty, really?
