Hands-On With the Omega Seamaster 300 Heritage

OMEGA first introduced the Seamaster 300 in 1957 - designed especially for divers and professionals who worked underwater. More than 60 years later, the timepiece has been completely upgraded with an enhanced form that is ready for a new generation of adventurers.
This 41 mm stainless steel model includes a blue dial and a blue oxalic anodized aluminium bezel with its diving scale filled with vintage Super-LumiNova. The recessed hour markers and open numerals feature Super-LumiNova, which is also present on the rhodium-plated hands.
Presented on an ergonomic stainless steel bracelet, this timepiece includes a transparent sapphire crystal caseback, enabling a clear view of the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912.

Thank you! And I never thought of that comparison but I agree. The BB58 has so much potential, but it looks a bit too playful for me. I like the look of the new BB58 GMT. I need to go try one on :-)

Question for you though. Do you have any vertical play in your bezel? Mine has a little and trying to decide if I should send it in or not.

@@777ivandiaz hopefully it’s a quick fix! My JLC navy seals diver has a lot of play in the bezel, hasn’t bothered me enough to send it off yet but I know I need too 😭

Thank you for this review! I'm currently shopping for a new diver, and I have this shortlisted against the Tudor Pelagos. So far, it's sold me on the build and heritage. My only concern is legibility in everyday scenarios. Being an owner of this piece, how legible would you say this piece is, at a glance, and compared to something like the diver 300M, which has those emphasized hour markers? Or the Tudor Pelagos?

Thanks for watching and dropping a comment! Legibility at a glance is really good, I find this true on most Omegas except maybe the Speedy. The Broadsword hands pop off the dial against the deep blue. The indices show up well in low light even when not lumed. And I find Arabic numerals at the poles help. The Pelagos in black is high contrast and legible as well, definitely more of a tool watch/daily wearer IMO than both of the Omegas.

@@JimiTime1 thank you for your response! That was my assumption when looking at yours and other videos on the 300 Heritage. I’m yet to make a decision between the 300 Heritage and the Pelagos, but considering the both offer black and blue models, I’m leaning more towards the “why not have both” thought pattern at this point. Please continue making great sincere videos. I enjoy your perspective on the pieces you present.
