Jimmy an absolute legend, the craftsmanship is unreal you never see anything like this anymore, Jimmy is my great grand uncle and going to his place was like a huge treat as a child to this day I love going there. One of the nicest kindest and man could he use them hands like no one else could or ever will everything was attention to detail. It's off to London this weekend to see his model in the maritime museum in Greenwich.

I love this documentary, watched it over and over, what a gentleman, I grew up with people like this in the west of Ireland, always willing to share there depth of knowledge, thank's Gone but not forgotten.. .

Nowadays they'd have a fancy, expensive machine for softening the wood. Old methods are either forgotten or rejected.
