Until you mention the vocal being mono, I didn’t even notice. It’s like the voice being cocooned by instrumental, no reverb yet surprisingly in your face. I got into SKZ songs because there are nuggets to savor. 3racha and arranger Chan are getting more sophisticated in their producing skill. Songs are original and amazing, unlike patchwork-like kpop songs having 60+ producers on an EP’s credit sheet.

skz always use fun and interesting sample for their songs, for example elephant sounds in “circus”, domino falling and bells in “domino”, door creaks in “back door” sticky beats in “venom”, sirens, bird sound and drills in “maniac”, morse code in “hello stranger” and “district 9”, the cops from the incredibles yelling freeze in “freeze”, even the pigeons sound in 3:04 after changbin said “the pigeons on the street making noise” and theres still moreee. like you can tell that they’re having fun while producing the songs

When I first heard this song I was so shocked it wasn’t the title track! The whistling, the flute, all the instrumentals were so addicting. I like how you described it as being at the level of other groups title tracks. Like Stray Kids are on a whole other level that even their non-title tracks sound good enough to be title tracks on their own.

Oh the new album is dropping next month. You need to listen to the rest of the songs of the album ODDINARY. FYI. ‘Waiting For Us’ will give you another feel of Stray Kids because it’s an emotional ballad, and ‘Lonely Street’ is the song which all the crowd united together during the tour.

😂sorry for veryyy late reply ,but just wanted to say when I first listened to this song I thought of snake handlers in india,they play a flute like instrument in circular or different motions and the snake follows that movement like (hypnotized or charmed yk) if I am not wrong snake handler who performs this is called charmer in english, so I initially thought they used two meanings of 'charmer' anyways that's what I observed ,I am from india idk if it's correct

I wanted to suggest reacting to Xdinary heroes, they are the new kband from jyp and they recently came back with a minialbum. Their music is rock based and they play, write and compose their own songs, Bangchan reacted to their bsides and said "every song i hear is incredible because from a producer pov i usually can expect where a song is going, but everytime i listen to these songs it got me surprised, i cant foresee where its gonna change". All their bsides are incredible and different, i would suggest for the first ones "strawberry cake" and "knock down", also, all their bsides have live clips, and they are even better live than recording.

man, I'm so behind finding your channel. My take, especially what you were saying at around 6:30-7minute, about the sound sounding mono and just sort of held in place, it makes me think of snake charmers, except we are the snake and they are using their music to do the charming. the use of the whistle fits well, the sort of slow sway to they rhythm, and the almost calming melody is all very in line with snake charmers... but I think what makes the difference is that if anyone else tried this, it would just be a song about being a snake charmer and charming the listener. and it would be more overt so you couldn't miss it. I think only Skz makes you experience the snake's POV.
