As an African, this made me so happy! I also loved the Korean/Afrobeat combo - it wasn't cringey because they made it their own. This is my favourite song on the album. Having said all that, the lyrics are actually really sad: feeling as they do about their experience of being pop stars, they would prefer to be a rock in their next life. Think about that for a second. But that's also what makes the song so good, because they show their vulnerability.

The lyric you liked about how if you remove the "star" from "rockstar" you get a rock was written by Taehyun, or so he says. Additionally, apparently TXT had to record this song shirtless to get the vibes right, which is why we have no behind-the-scenes content from it lmao. Anyway, yeah, they did an incredible job with this. I was really happy to hear the commentary on how they altered the intonation and accents in the language to fit the song! That's so cool.

I loved this so much. The original Ebby demo popped up on my Tiktok a few days ago and I was floored. How they took quite an explicit demo about f*cking, and morphed it into a song about wanting to be a rock...😂 I mean that takes skills. And it just sounds so cool. Please more afrobeats in kpop.

yes beomgyu really killing this song, the members sounds great as always but something about how beomgyu singing in this song is really got me, his vocal really fit in this kind of song too. tinnitus is one of my fav song, but im so excited to see you guys reaction to farewell neverland, that song has special spot in my heart

He didn't make the song tho 😂 this song was originally made by Ebby and sold to BigHit. But yes, I see your point.

@@tn-t Yeah ikr, Ebby made the melody or something. But as far as I know, TXT's members take a part in making the lyrics. And if you listen to Ebby's demo version, the lyrics are very different from the released version. Both versions are really good tho 👍🏻

Funny how you guys said the members must've enjoyed recording this song, because taehyun revealed that they went in the recording studio shirtless to really get the vibe going🤭 and you guys are gonna lovee the last track...it's everyones favourite❤️ Taehyun also said the last track is a big hint and is connected to the next album.
