@gmj2012 Optional extras are the stand (you can always just sit it on a chair or low table) and kick pedal as mentioned in this vid. As far as recording goes, you can always just plug it directly into the audio input of your laptop and record as wav files. Or you can use an Audio/USB midi interface. They are not expensive. I use a Tascam US-122.

@gmj2012 It does not have USB midi if that's what you mean by "hook up to a laptop"-but you can find cheap MIDI-to-USB converters anywhere. There are 64 kits and 400 sounds by the way.

@glazinq For the kick aspect. It's cheaper, and lighter, if you just use 2 X FS-5U pedals. You WON'T have velocity /dynamics however. But sometimes if one is keeping time with the feet, it's easier if the sound level is guaranteed to always be the same. To connect: you need a stereo-to-2 mono jacks cable. Stand: Roland makes the PDS-10 stand, but if you can find an older TAMA "Stilt" type cymbal stand, that will work to. Roland's original PDS-15, was made by Tama for Roland.

The Handsonic 10 has no sequencer function. However, with the Handsonic 15, you can record / playback with the built-in sequencer..
@snyderonutube16 жыл бұрын
They do different things. The 15 has more pads, external inputs, effects and more advanced editing. Some people never touch the edit button. The 10 is more simple overall, and also has the Rhythm Coach functions which are not in the 15. It depends on ones needs. As far as quality goes, no questions about that. Both sound great in all situations-live or recording.

@jamesal No, there is no sequencer built into the Handsonic 10. Handsonic 15-yes!

@gmj2012 Well to use it right away all you really need (at bare minimum) is a set of headphones. It sounds HUGE and you can spend hours lost in your own little world. Of course if you want anyone else to hear you will need to go through an amp and speakers. You can put your ipod or CD player through it to play along and practice with your favourite music.

@octavioruiz01 Sorry! Cajon is only in the HPD-10.
@snyderonutube13 жыл бұрын
@gmj2012 At the time of development of the basic technology for the HPD-10, which is based on the HPD-15, USB Midi connections were rare. And it's not as simple as replace a midi connector with a USB Midi connector.
@snyderonutube16 жыл бұрын
No, the HPD-10 has no memory for samples... You can control, via MIDI, external sounds of course, like with an SPD-S..or computer based sounds.
