Depending on the angle you can get black signs on a transparent background or transparent signs on a black background. You need to check before cutting it. So best check before taking the LCD out of the unit

did you have two layers of polarizer film on originally. It still looks tinted after you scraped off a layer. I did mine and had two layers and the glass lcd was clear after scraping
@2tallB2 жыл бұрын
Didn’t he say at the beginning that there was polarizer film on both sides of the glass?
@REXXSEVEN Жыл бұрын
He said that there was polarization film on both sides of the glass, but the one on the back side is the one that is more likely to fail so he tried replacing that first and it fixed the problem.

I am trying to understand why the paper is needed? Would just replacing the lcd screen with the adhesive one like you did be enough? Or is the paper used to just told the screen in place along with the adhesive?
@booboo6992542 ай бұрын
You need the paper for contrast. Without it, you would see though the polarizing film and see the back of the equipment which might not provide sufficient contrast.

So, whats the actual cause of this? Is it simply the polarizing layer coming slightly unstuck?
@juanmanuelguerrero49242 жыл бұрын
El calor mancha el fondo gris por decirlo se tuestan algunas partes y luego se ven mal
@izzzzzz611 ай бұрын
@@juanmanuelguerrero4924 ¿Esto proviene de la luz solar directa o del calor de la unidad? Entonces, lo que estás pensando es que parte de la capa polarizadora simplemente pierde sus propiedades polarizantes debido a alguna forma de calor. Does this come from direct sunshine or heat from the unit? So what you are thinking is that some of the polarising layer simply loses its polarising properties due to some form of heat.

Not clear if you used the adhesive side to adhere down!
@REXXSEVEN_II Жыл бұрын
First you will need to determine If the polarization filter needs to be replaced on the front of the LCD glass screen or the back of the screen. In some cases it is both, but most of the time, the back filter is the one that goes bad first. (According to the video). Now Listen at 9:28 and at 11:16 In this example, The adhesive side is to stick to the back of the glass LCD screen. BUT if you want, you can use clear tape instead to hold the lcd glass, the polarization film and the white paper backing together. If you use clear tape option, then you do not need to expose the adhesive on the polarization filter. Note: Even though using the adhesive on the polarization filter to stick to the back of the glass LCD screen is the preferred method for some people, you may find it helpful to use the clear tape instead so that you can test if the display is working with the polarization film replaced. If you find that it's working now, then you can go ahead and apply the adhesive side to the LCD glass. Hope this helps. If you decide to apply the adhesive to the glass screen, you have to be careful not to trap any dirt, dust, lint, or air bubbles. Be very careful.
