Had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the mower to come crashing down. Seriously, the front wheels are supposed to be in front of the silver rod and resting against the black, metal braces.

Same with me! I was like omg the front wheels were so close!!!
@yogib374 жыл бұрын
you are not the only one, I was looking at that and seeing the wheels resting on the rear pin there. I would had it going all the way to the very front and if it rolled back some then it would of fell in between the pins and be much more safer
@thomasrennirt54586 жыл бұрын
you don't have the wheels in the cradle correctly

Another pump or two and it would have fallen off. The front casters are directly on top of the rear support rod. A little more lift and the machine would be on the floor. It seems that when the mower got to a certain height, it stopped rolling forward because the rear contacted the floor and proceeded to pull the mower backward.

I think the hydros need to unlocked or valves open so it will travel foward and enable the front wheels to stay in when traveling up. Then engage parking brake. And chock wheels.

OMG... the wheels were just balancing on the rear pin of the wheel cradle. Pins should have been inserted so the wheels dropped lower between them.

My son just got one of these & I still think you need to put jacks somewhere for safety & to act as a backup , I don’t trust these things .thanks for the video.

Thanks for that video it was very informative I saw the first video and thought. Zero-turn looks like it's from Home Depot it's not quite as big as mine I got a 920m and I also got to stand up 6:36 and then boom I saw this video and thank you so much for that you have a great day

I agree, honestly didnt think of that a rolling rear wheels would help the tension on the jack even out with wheels free floating. That would be a huge help in working on the Sears rider and my Wright zero instead of using my tractor bucket with chain. Loader keeps going down and over and over restart tractor to raise, such a pain in the rear end.

Why did the front wheels look like they were about to come off the lift??
@HandyGuy20165 жыл бұрын
I did not have it secured with the safety strap.

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. Is it still working good for ya?

I just sold it because I have a chain hoist setup now, but yes it worked great, never had an issue, and I used it for 3 mowers at least twice a week.

learn how to use the thing before making a video...i have a tree i pull under when i use my jack and after the mower is jacked up i put 3 chains on the mower to a big branch in case the jack fails.never trust a jack.

I have one of these the directions say to put mower parking brake on and to chock the back wheels before lifting the mower up My only complaint is the part to lift the atv's with interferes with the the decks on some of our commercial mowers i don't have a need for an atv lift I'M thinking about cutting off some of the middle portion of the atv lift so my mower decks dont hit and ride up on the center part of the lift other than that its a great lift
@blake2004236 жыл бұрын
nashguy207 did you cut off the atv portion? I am having the same problem with my ferris.
@nashguy2076 жыл бұрын
No I have thought about it or selling and getting a different lift all my mowers have the same issue the deck hits the atv part even when i have the decks raised all the up.
@blake2004236 жыл бұрын
nashguy207 do you think it would damage the deck? I have seen lots of people lift their mower by the deck only.
@nashguy2076 жыл бұрын
NO i have used a floor jack for years on all my commercial mowers before I got the lift and put the jack under the front lip of the deck jacked it up put jack stands on the ends of the front lip and left the jack in the center and cleaned the deck took blades off sharpened them and put sharp blades back on more even a 60" exmark zero turn that is a lot heavier than the ferris and have never had an issue

back the mower up a foot or so first, so that the front casters swivel around, then position lift snug up against the wheels and drive onto lift saddles. This will buy you about 5-6" clearance depending on the caster offset from the kingpin.
