Hang Gliding Biggar 1975

The first Scottish Hang Gliding Open, filmed at Biggar in the South of Scotland in 1975.
This video was shot on standard 8mm cine film, then scanned in and digitally remastered.

The first few seconds show what my old cine film looked like before I remastered it. It still isn't perfect - you can still see where I've erased some of the scratches and dirt, giving an effect like water on the outside of a window.

@Robert Keddie Hi Robert and yes I'm an auld pal of your dad, Jimmy Potts. I really miss all the guys I knew back then but sadly many are no longer with us. I'm still jogging along and for many years I went three axis ( lazy git.) I still keep in touch with David Squires and Brian Woods. I'll say to David I was chatting to you

@@robertkeddie Hello again Robert, my God never knew that photo existed and yes David's Moonraker looks great. Sadly Brian Harrison passed away 2 or 3 years ago, he did so much to promote hang gliding in Scotland and I sure miss him. Fred Joynes was flying conventional gliders for many years but I think he gave it up last year. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are keeping.
