I invented the scale, is an intelligent mix, top is misolidian C and with bottom notes it allows you to change scales, a hijaz kiar and a mystic oriental phrygian.. Is awesome, called "wepan" we are producing it with namipan and with 14 notes is dirt cheap :D

They help a lot yes... I would suggest to follow a good player teacher because self taught is not very good..

There are many teachers out there! And Skype made things easier!! When I was studying there was not most of today's virtual connection. So had to take airplanes to Egypt and turkey and meet teachers in person and make million videos. Lucky had a great Egyptian teacher here in Rome, who I followed for many wdapp,... He gave me his personal Darbuka before he passed away and now I have the duty of never stop playing darbuka. Rest in peace master. Yes I will find you on Facebook brother

Do you always have to start the roll with the split hand on the first finger? Or can you use the third finger to start or even alternate? Thanks for the video! I can see how this technique offers more control than using the first and middle fingers to roll.

I respect the technique,not exactly my flavor,more contemporary player but see how you could utilize some of the finger parts sparingly in a segment of a piece to add tension as long as musicality is not lost, thanks for new ideas, stay well

OK, you can play fast like hell. The only useful advice for me was the "glue"-tip. The rest seems to me a Posers posing. It's an NOGO in an tutorial, to pose with skills, that for the listener are impossible to reproduce whilst he watch it. - That gives an very frustrating experience and kills the motivation to learn.
@SimoneHorus6 жыл бұрын
im sorry you found it frustrating. but you are actually judging a little too much: if you know me, you would know i dont care in posing. i actually shown people that there are other advanced techniques to add on handpan, IF YOU WANT TO. i explain myself better: in both videos i published i always say that this is not the definitive technique, and it still has weak points, but it can be useful if you ADD it to your own technique. this stuff comes from hundred years of studying and OFF COURSE it may look impossible and frustrating: you need HEAVY PRACTICE and A LOT of motivation to get it. IF YOU WANT IT you get it, if your motivation goes down, try another way, but my friend, please dont call me a poser because it is quite unrespectful. i hope youll find other ways, or play handpan just as hobby.

dont watch advanced technics if your ar intermediate or basic!! jajaja!!!
