I am happy that josh told Mary Beth off in this scene knowing that she agreed to give up shopping for a week for helping the needy; she is a spoiled rich kid who doesn't care about anyone but herself and the sad part is that in life real there are people like Mary Beth who doesn't care about helping homeless people or people in general, it's sad to know we live in a world where the rich and the poor can't live under the same roof by helping each other out with anything.

Yeah, & it's also sickening how elitist people, like Mary Beth, & even asshole "Trump", think that things like the LAW doesn't apply to them.

This was early on in the series when Mary Beth wasn't that developed as a character, beyond being spoiled and shallow. As time went on, she evolved and became extremely caring of her friends. Also didn't hurt that she got the most dramatic storylines (sexually harrassed, parents breaking up, attempted rape) because Megan Parlen nailed them.
