Hanging Garland around a door

This has some good info, but it's missing the most important info, which is what do you use to fasten the garland? It looks like you used wood screws and wire, but it would have been nice to see how you decided on that route and how you got to the point where you were ready to hang up the garland.

Did I miss something? What did you put up there at the top of the door to hold the garland up? All you said was put it up and screw it tight but no idea what you are actually using to hold the garland up there?

Emilia Escobar I used those little white screw hooks you can get at any Home Depot and floral wire. Wrap the wire around the garland a few times then twist it on to the hooks. Works perfectly. I assume that’s what he did but no mention of supplies at all. Lol You’ll prob need to hammer a tiny nail in the woodwork just so there is a little hole started in order for the hooks to be easily screwed in. Good luck! Happy holidays!! :)

The hardest part of hanging anything is that they should lay the hardware on a table so you can see it and you know what to buy at the store - then show you how to hang the hardware - I don't understand how ost of these videos show you how to put up the lights and garland but don't show you the hardware or how to hang it. Good grief.

I'm thinking the same, but our winters get really cold so im concerned they won't stick. I think im going to use hooks that screw into the siding and just leave them permanently. Then I'll use floral wire around the garland to attach it to the hooks.
