Congratulations, Rick! My very first electric guitar was a Gibson SG Special with the P-90 pickups (they were called "Cobalt Pickups" at the time). I was 12 years old and it was the only electric guitar I owned until it was stolen 9 years later. My naive self complied with putting the guitar in luggage with the larger suitcases, etc. on a plane flight and I never saw it again. I did eventually get reimbursed for $500 6 months later, but I've taken my guitars on board with me ever since... and sometimes I've had to fight pretty hard for that right. A guitar with P-90s doesn't fulfill my needs these days, but I get nostalgic every time I see an SG and maybe I'll get myself one someday (I keep telling myself). Anyway... enjoy your new axe!

I regretted missing the Pelham Blue last year so it took me 5 seconds to get to Gibson and order one. I was surprised they hadn't run out. I wanted and SG style with P90s, and of course support a charity. I bet they won't last long. It'll complement my Epiphone Pelham Blue Les Paul too. It'll also mean I need to start selling guitars. Rick, you are my favorite KZbin channel and I never miss a video.

Thank you for donating to the music charity. In the 70s, I remember all the auto-harps and percussion instruments we had in music class. I am working in a school now, and I see a need for all those things with no budgets to get them. Now, can you please ask Gibson to make your guitar left-handed.

P90 is the best sounding pickup Gibson ever made. Humbuckings cancel noise but also cancel out a lot of the natural overtones.

Rick, My son-in-law is an Orchestra teacher who has taught in the McDonough,, Gwinnett County and now is teaching in Atlanta. Exposure to music is so important. Keeping children engaged and honing the skills of the art will hopefully keep real music and the appreciation for it, around for decades to come. I have to say I really like my new RB Gibson Les Paul. It light and easy to play and my guitar shipped ready to play out of the case. Best neck I've played and those P90's sing paired with my Fender Pro Jr. The blue was sold out but glad the Burgandy came back stock.

I had a Gibson Les Paul from the HOG in 2003 and that thing sounded great even if you missed the fret. It was so warm and forgiving. Wish I had not sold it.
