Pawpaw, I was thinking that even though you're going to put your actual garden in above ground planters, you should still utilize your wonderful garden. You could give it a quick plow and broadcast a whole plot of flower seeds. The bees would love that so much. Or throw out watermelon and cantaloupe seeds. The animals would love those as well as the family. Just putting some type of cover crop will keep the garden in prime condition. That nice black soil is prime stuff as you know. I really hope you at least put flowers. Gigi will love that. Tell her you made her a flower garden. Talk about brownie points. 😂😂😂😂 A wonderful cover crop❤❤

Morning ☕️ 🌄 PawPaw, Gi, and the little fur boys.. Y'all got a lot of rain 🌧 5/inches. Yeah, your story PawPaw the city children plays different games than the country children. I remember when we moved from Mississippi to Missouri, Momma would send me to my Aunt and Uncle house just about every summer ( Mississippi) and I loved it. They had 11 children and lived in the country. She always told me after I got grown that they were poor but I never knew that bc to me we were the riches kids. Always had food, roof over our heads, played from sun up to sun down. Oh I never was ready to go back home. LoL Nowdays the children wouldn't know what to do if they didn't have computers and games. We lived in the country with my papa went to an 2 room school house and a out house 😂😂.Well PawPaw, ty for your great story Take care sweetheart and always God bless 🙌 each of you on the Morrow hill in Texas!! When we weren't working on the farm, me and my brother would play Lava People. We would climb up on something and whoever got knocked off first to the ground lost, we pretended the ground was lava. It sounds silly now, but when you grow up in the country you make up games to amuse yourself. We also built a lot of forts and tree houses in the woods.

I bet it broke your heart when Gi didn't need your help packing up Christmas, I'm procrastinating doing mine, probably after New Year's. Glad the ponds are filled up, they were pretty low !! But good to see the sunshine!! Not making this up but 2 men went up into the mountains recently, looking for bigfoot, they went missing and unfortunately both passed, not sure what happened to them. Buddy and Steph just wanted to share the love with their family, very cute surprises, does make you smile!! Enjoyed Camp Heidi and the crazy fun stories!! Have a wonderful day!!

Ive been takin my time takin down Christmas cause im cleaning out spaces on the main floor so I don't have to keep climbing up in the attic😊 that cage can be put up for right now so it doesn't float away during the next rainy season. Guess i was a city girl...in Alaska we'd play hop scotch on the gravel roads. We'd draw with a stick in the ground a house design and play house that way...but in the winter we'd use the snow to design the floor plans with at least 2 foot high walls. Don't remember making snowmen in all that deep snow though. Ah memories ❤

I'm working on taking down Christmas decor today. My grandmother always said regarding Christmas decor, " You don't take the old year into the new." So, it's a given that I follow her admonition. I ordered storage boxes too, to keep things safe from being broken and bug free. So glad that GiGi is feeling better. There were lots of prayers going up for her. Continued prayers for Lester & Jami's dog Sadie . Hoping she'll return home soon.

That's alot of rain in one day, over 5 inches! I'm praying the river dont go out of banks and flood your pastures or in your home. Seems like the last flooding you just got everything cleaned up from that. It is a beautiful day out today. We've had rain and wind on and off for almost 2 weeks. I love seeing Buddy and Steph's pictures everywhere. But he just has to remind everyone that he is number one grandson just in case anyone forgot lol. It reminds me of my dad's parents and how they always treated my oldest brother, shall we just say he was God lol. There were five in my family and my dad's sister had three. The other four of us siblings you never knew existed lol. My grandparents always rented until after my dad passed and they bought a beautiful brick home from an estate auction. As you rounded us hill and came down towards their home there was a huge picture window in the living room across their living room or my three cousins all girls and their senior pictures lined the walls and were bigger than life-size pictures, no joke. Of course somewhere in the living room was a big picture of my brother, God if you will lol. Now the rest of us four siblings to find our pictures you had to look on the bottom of the end tables, the part down by the floor and you would find our little 3x5s or maybe, maybe a 5x7 lol. This is no joke lol there was no hiding who the favorites were from my grandparents on my dad's side. So every Christmas the brother right above me as I'm the baby always had a few too many and would take down those life-size pictures and put up our little 3x5 pictures on this humongous wall. Well of course we always thought it was hilarious until my grandparents would walk in the room and they didn't find it funny but at least they got the point. It's okay to show your favorite cuz we lived our whole life knowing who their favorites were but enough was enough with those 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😂🤣 pictures. God love them We miss them but we have the memories. Funny thing was it didn't change anything by my brother always switching out our pictures because it didn't change. They still kept us on the very bottom of the end tables where no one could see us but kept their favorites up on the wall and life-size pictures lol That was okay because my mom's mother was our favorite and made sure that we were her favorite as well. So you keep rocking it buddy and make sure they know who the favorite is around there lol Tell lex to move over you're moving back in lol Much love PawPaw and Gigi.. Happy New Year to you both 🥳💜

My family, from Tennessee, always called scary things a booger. It’s so strange how this great country has so many differences from state to state. My cousin , my sister, and I were playing in the creek at my grandparents, and my cousin picked up a big crawdad that latched onto the end of his thumb. He about danced a jug trying to get it off. Lovely video. We lived in a biggish town and loved going back to our little hometown and staying on our uncles farm. hand Milking two old cows, feeding chooks, and roaming around the ponds finding rotten duck eggs. That was our childhood...now have my own farm living the dream. Fireworks well I wish they could be banned and only seen at a controlled event. Here in New Zealand we are pushing for it. This is the way I feel with my parents new place...29 acres to roam, and I find it very hard to be indoors...they retired in March and sold our family home of 30 years to be up northern Minnesota. Coming from a small town my whole life I love the countryside
