Hangkai 18hp first test run

First time on the water with the Hangkai 18hp! It did better than expected to be honest and with my 16ft seanymph and two adults it did fantastic! Enjoy our sunset cruise. #hangkai #outboard #boating #18hp #lakeontario

Great little motor. I'm still in the break in period myself. 24mph@ 6200 rpm's with the stock 8 pitch prop on a 15' aluminum hull. I installed an 11 pitch prop last weekend. If the rain ever stops, I'll take it out to see how fast it will go with the new prop.

I put the 11 pitch prop on over the weekend and got 26mph

Throttle cable is a little stretched out and I had to do some idle and throttle screw adjustments a few times to get it tuned right but great for the price

Still doing the break in? Gets my 15.5 Jon boat up to 20 by my self I’ve had it for around a year now and still running strong 💪

Is it me or does the grey and red logo under Hangkai look like the same yamaha used in 2000-2006

Well it’s apparently a clone of the 15f! Not sure what year that was though

The motor is basically a clone of the Yamaha 15 f 2 stroke

On Amazon I’ve seen as low as 1,000 plus 200 shipping! There are more expensive ones with different options as well prices are kind of all over the place
