We visited Japan’s REAL LIFE RPG Theme Park & Ziplined into Godzilla’s Mouth 😱

Dragon Quest Island is a real life RPG theme park on Awaji Island in Japan that you NEED to visit, regardless if you’re a fan of the game or not. It’s so underrated and one of the most fun attractions inside Nijigen no Mori.
Look, I’m not gonna lie, we never played Dragon Quest before. Nor did I (Tina) even know what it was until we visited Japan. If you’ve ever played an open world game before, that’s what roaming around and completing missions and side quests at Dragon Quest theme park is all about.
We made some villager friends, collected coins to gear ourselves up, fought the boss’ henchmen, and then kicked Zoma in the behind. It was SO. MUCH. FUN.
But, that’s not all, once we conquered Dragon Quest, we had another important mission on our hands. An even bigger one.
It was time to take on Godzilla. Shin Godzilla, I should say, at the Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji Island.
It’s Japan’s biggest Godzilla attraction where you get to zipline into his giant mouth in a bid to keep him subdued. On top of that, there’s also a small Godzilla museum and a Godzilla themed cafe.
We highly recommend checking out Nijigen no Mori if you find yourself in Hyogo, it’s one of the best hidden spots in Japan that’s so underrated and has so much to offer.

My brother and I were RAISED on Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior (They have been playing it since the early 90's) - we absolutely have to go here! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!! (Was there a bar/pub in Dragon Quest park? 🤣 it's a staple in the games )

takes about 4-5 hours on busy days, according to the website. the other channel that did this took just under 2 hours on a rainy day. and that's just the main quest. there's also a side quest, which is not included in the main quest/entrance ticket.
