Deering High vs. "New York"??? It wouldn't be just "New York" it would be the school's name from New York and it would be Deering, Indiana. TNBC shows were so friggin lazy. Also... why is this tournament in Los Angeles? What random high schools are playing in a tournament 2,000-3,000 miles away?

There were a number of in-season events like this in high school hoops. Still are. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary's boys' program in Ohio would sometimes play schools out of state when LeBron James was a member of the team.

In a realistic world, they wouldn't don't have the same funding to send their team to NYC, LA, and all of the other places TNBC writers would send them because they ran out of plots for standard Indiana high school storylines
