The way the clasp and bracelet meet each other is something I wish I saw more often.

The most memorable 'wrist experience' I ever had was wearing a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope - case diameter: 40 mm, lug-to-lug: 42 mm (!), and height: 14.4 mm. It nested in, not on, my 6.5-in. wrist, and looking down I saw only dial, paper-thin bezel, and domed crystal. The height just disappeared.

Thanks for another sterling review, you've become my favourite watch reviewer. As to the watch, it's a thing of beauty. I was considering this model, but the size is a little small for me so ended up buying a Hanhart Pioneer One with grey dial, which at 42mm suits me better. Look forward to getting my watch, and many more reviews from you.

Thank you for watching, and thanks for the very kind words. Funny you mention the Pioneer One. That was the watch I initially requested Hanhart to review, but they suggested I review the Preventor9 instead. I'm very grateful that they did, because I ended up purchasing this watch from them after my review and it continues to be one of my favorite watches. I would love to review the Pioneer One at some point, I think it looks fantastic.

@@BeansAndBezels I seem to remember reading somewhere you sold it. Any chance you could enlighten us as to why?
@BeansAndBezels3 жыл бұрын
@@jipke Yeah I sold it a while ago. I have a finite budget, but infinite watches I'd like to own/see/review. So that usually means outside of a very small core collection (usually sentimentally valuable watches), all my watches end up sold at some point or the other.

Great review. Just bought the off-white with leather strap. Usually not a fan of bracelets but that one is stunning, especially the slight curve from edge to edge. Also like the sort of "layered" look of the watch when viewing it from the side and the uncommon second hand location. Very happy with my purchase and great customer service from US distributor Watchbuys in North Carolina. Cheers.

Never heard of this watch before this video. Thanks! Your channel deserves many more followers. Reminds me of Hafiz J Mehmood’s channel. Keep it up! If you had to pick between this and the Stowa Marine 36 as your only white dialed watch in your collection, which would you pick?
@BeansAndBezels4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the kind words. I've watched a few of Hafiz's videos and his stuff is amazing, so thanks for the compliment. I ended up buying this watch from Hanhart after my review, so I'm clearly biased towards this watch. I also prefer the more tool watch build of this, over the more dressy case on the Stowa. That said, my plan is to add that Stowa to my collection at some point next year!

Excellent video, thank you. Would you be able to advise of the dial (glass) measurement (looks to be around 30mm?). 40mm is usually on the small size for me, but the white dial and a fairly thin bezel it might work as it is an awesome looking watch and a great bracelet/clasp as you mention.

One of the best bracelets (dare say at any price point) I have experienced is the IWC Pilot bracelet - pricey at 1000 USD, but supreme in engineering and execution, in particular the micro adjustment system. Unfortunately they don't seem to have the marketing resources of Rolex, so few people even know about this.
@BeansAndBezels3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that recommendation. Unfortunately I've never owned or spent time with an IWC, but maybe that's something to try and put on my "review list" for 2021.

Great review! Thanks to it I bought one in white. Could you please help me with information regarding the weight of the bracelet? My wrist is 6.5 and I'm afraid the bracelet might be just too have/bulky for me. Can't find any information on this topic...And I have to hurry. The watch is now unavailable, probably discontinued. But I can still buy the bracelet on their website. TIA
@BeansAndBezels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately I don't have this watch anymore and didn't measure the weight of the bracelet. But I have a similar sized wrist and the bracelet wore extremely well. It isn't too heavy or bulky and feels amazing on wrist.
@jlg3953 жыл бұрын
I'm always so tempted by this watch, but: A) You can't buy it directly from Hanhart B) The lume color just sticks out like a sore thumb. The dial is such a beautiful cream, but that sickly greenish yellow lume. Why, Lord? WHY???
@BeansAndBezels3 жыл бұрын
If you're outside the US, you can buy it from Hanhart. WatchBuys has exclusive rights to selling Hanhart in the US, sadly. The lume color is appropriate for the off-white dial and somewhat vintage inspired design. I think BGW9 would look a bit odd on this dial.
@hjander3 жыл бұрын
If it were manual wind, that might shave a few millimeters off the height.
@jlg3953 жыл бұрын
So I took your advice and went to the Hanhart website, and as I was filling out the shipping information, I noticed that the United States was not an option on their dropdown menu. I've never experienced this on any website in my life, so I really don't know how to proceed. Did they direct you to purchase this watch from their American dealer (aka WatchBuys.com)? That's the only way I can see to proceed on the Hanhart site. Unfortunately, WatchBuys is out of this particular model, so it looks like all paths to owning this watch might lead to dead ends.
@BeansAndBezels3 жыл бұрын
WatchBuys is the official distributor for Hanhart in the US, so you'd have to buy it from them I think. But send me an e-mail (you can find it in my profile here), I may have some leads for you.

This is standard pilot/aviator aesthetic; I don’t know why you mention field watch so much.
@BeansAndBezels4 жыл бұрын
DraykeFields you're right. Hanhart too refer to it as part of their flieger/aviation collection. I just personally think it fits better in the field watch category given the dial (fliegers are typically specd to have high contrast dial and numerals. The font and numeral style is a bit trench watch too), the crown (this doesn't follow the conical or onion shapes usually seen), and I thought it also makes for a great competitor for watches like the Weiss Standard Issue, which is a field watch. And the cathedral hands that Hanhart (Zenith, etc.) uses is also commonly used by field watches too (Alpinist, etc). Thanks for watching though, and I appreciate the feedback.
@temujinadonijah63652 жыл бұрын
A functioninal watch needs to be robust and take knocks i wouldnt like to be in the rain and my sleeve pulls out that crown or some other activity and then ruin the watch..I like this watch but the lack of screw down crown is a concern also I'm not impressed by the finish of the face there doesn't seem to show quality in the finish
