Saw the show last night in Atl., was awesome. When Hank started playing the Sleep riffs, I told my buddy that's freaking Sleep. I was blown away, then find this today and see that he was using Pike's amps, it all makes sense. Go Hank 3, bad ass to the bone!

The Electric amps can do more than just the massive monstrous fuzz tones. They excel at those but I know folks who have these and do some different things with them, prog/alternative for instance. I have Sunn, Orange, and Peavey and can get great tones with those amps as well when dialed in right. I can run various pedals and get killer fuzz tones (mainly the Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh which is the best fuzz ever built in my opnion) - I run that through an old Peavey Butcher on the lo-gain side and it is thick. But nothing really beats a Matamp or Electric for massive, natural fuzzed out gain. My Green EA will be here tomorrow, I'll post some clips. The other guitarist in my band has a Matamp GTO120 "Black" and it is the best sounding amp I've ever heard, we both can't wait to compare the Matamp and the EA (and yes, I know the EA is based on the Matamps and the full and "interesting" story on them).

I have an Electric MVU-120 on order. I ordered it last June (2009) and it should be here in June/ July. Yes they taka a long time to get after ordering but trust me, it's worth the wait!!! Call and talk to Joel. EA amps fucking rule! Nothing else like them.

@OfficialHankIII Rats and civil/green muff are classic. Right now I am using a baja tech da moaf version II to push a or120 retubed with Kt-77's. Sounds amazing. And a whampler ecstasy for added crunch. Sounds awesome. Batteries always sound better.

@eatthemoon13 Few weeks ago i got my MASTER VOLUME UNIT and cab from ELECTRIC AMP and both are amazing!! If you re into Doom,Sludge,Stoner sound don't even think about it. Its the best that could happen to you. You can also go for faster styles like crustcore with that amp. I own the Master Volume unit 120 with EL34s though
