How can modern jazz not be popular when it sounds this good?.I am putting together a 90th Birthday Concert for 2021. I would give anything to sound and play as good as Hank Jones in his 90th year!.

You know, he has two giant jazz brothers in Elvin and Thad. It is a an American tragedy that this family has not been featured on any media outlet, including PBS. This is one of our royal musical families. They are all gone now. Sigh, I know....Katy Perry...................but hey, she will still be a part of the musical lexicon 100 years from now.

I love the way George and Billy realise that Hank (who must have been about 90 at the time of this recording) has lost a beat in the bass solo and they seamlessly adjust to it rather than embarrass him.

Estoy acostumbrado a las sonoridades fuertes y veloces de los pianistas de afrocuban-jazz pero amo la sutileza y el arte de este estilo jazzístico de Hank Jones. El acompañamiento de la batería y bajo son irremplazables

This is a very cool version of the original Horace Silver 1960 "Horace Scope" album one, in which Blue Mitchell was playing trumpet. Elvin Jones is considered as one of the all-time greatest drummers.

Everyone has their own music taste. I'm not a grammar nazi, but just my two cents, eleveter-> elevator, are they ever listen->have they ever listened. Hope I'm not offending you. Anyway thank you for the comment.
