Hank Jr. made it cool to like country music I loved Johnny Cash etc. growing up but was rock Beatles, Zeppelin, and then Hank jammed with Van Halen in the 80s, seen him twice. This is when Hank was at his best period: 1978 -1984. He was and is still great, but I love this true Outlaw era. So many of the best Country singers today really cut their teeth on this: Jamey Johnson, Sturgill, Tyler Childers, and the new arrival Zach Bryan. They bring their own slant on it, but they have that spirit, which I am thankful for. A few years ago, I only had Hank III, so seeing an underground explosion has been awesome.
