Kelly’s point is worth considering: he went through persecution, put on the cross but he didn’t die there. He was presumed dead and brought down semiconscious from the cross. That he was substituted by another person cannot be substantiated even from the Quran. It is the interpretation some scholars levied on the verse based on their encounter with the gospel of Barnabas. God does not operate in abracadabra format. Sura 5:55 states the Jews planned to kill him but Allah planned (to twat their efforts)…and Allah is the best of planners”. That is an indication that effort to save Jesus (peace be on him) followed a way that subverted and frustrated the efforts of his assailants to kill him.

The rejection of Isa (A) in jewish community is an interesting story. they expected that their promised messiah will claim kinghood more than prophethood as like David/Dawood (A) who is a Prophet & King of Allah and gives them the kingdom of the world.But Isa (A) claimed prophethood instead of Kinghood..that's why Jewish people reject him but not all of them..some jewish people accept his religion & became Muslim..then we know how Roman Catholic changed the religion & what happened next..but the main point is till Nowdays Jewish people waiting for their promised messiah & interestingly the false messiah will appear which is Dajjal/Antichrist and they will accept him as their messiah..Now Rejecting of Prophet (S) by them is kind of same story..they know that the final messenger will come..Every prophet in the history told their nations about Last Messenger..and Jewish people also one of them. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:146): "Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him [Muhammad] as they know their own sons.But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know" so they knew that Final Messenger will appear and they were waiting for him..but they reject Prophet (S) when he appears as a Final Messenger..the reason is they expected that the final Messenger will come from their lineage means Bani Ishaq/Issac same as Bani Isarel(Yaqub/Jacob another name) but Prophet Muhammad (S) came from Bani Ismael lineage..that's the reason they couldn't accept him.Allah revealed in Quran following verses about it- Surah Al-Baqarah (2:89): "And when there came to them a Book [Quran] from Allah confirming what was with them - although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved - when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it. So the curse of Allah is upon the disbelievers." Explanation: The Jewish tribes in Medina (e.g., Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Nadir, and Banu Qurayza) used to pray for the coming of a prophet to help them gain victory over the polytheists (pagans of Arabia). They recognized Muhammad (PBUH) as the awaited prophet through the descriptions in their scriptures. However, they rejected him because he was from the descendants of Ishmael (Isma'il) not Isaac (Ishaq). Surah Al-Baqarah (2:90): "How wretched is that for which they sold their souls: that they would disbelieve in what Allah has revealed, out of their resentment that Allah would send down His favor [Prophethood] upon whom He [Banu Ismael/Muhammad] wills from among His servants..." But not all of them follow their arrogance over truth..some of jew accept Prophet Muhammad (S) as a Messenger..the great example is Abdullah Ibn Salam a jewish Rabb'i who accept Prophet Muhammad (S) & His Message.

Quran baqara 88: very few Jews believe and the majority do not. Actually, It is easier for a Jew to become a Muslim than for a Christian become a Muslim. Because jews are believe in only one God, but whether they can remain firm in their religion, that part is difficult. Because after Moses (a.s.) split the Red Sea and saved them, Even though they saw and witnessed such a great miracle the very next day they started to make a calf idol and worship it again. Even some of the Jews who have not converted to Islam recite the Surah Al-Fatiha from Quran to ensure themselves when they are about to die. quran baqara:88 "They (the Jews) said: Our hearts are covered, nothing affects us." No, it is not like that, Allah has removed them from His mercy because they covered up the truth. That's why very few of them believe.

Like when prophet Abraham AS was thrown in the fire, he was miraculously unharmed even though it was such a big hazardous fire that birds flying above it died. The prophet Mohammad SAW had rocks thrown at him until he was bleeding so much his shoes were filled with blood and the Angel gibrael did come to him and asked him if he'd like he could destroy the town of the people that did that to him and the prophet refused saying that if these people don't believe in Allah then maybe their children might. So, who died on the cross? Who does more wrong than those who lie against Allah and His messengers? And from those who say, “We are Christians,” We took their covenant, but they neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold. So We let hostility and enmity arise between them until the Day of Judgment, and soon Allah will inform them of all they have done. -Surat Al-Ma'idah, Ayat 14

JESUS WAS NOT CRUCIFIED: Quran 4:157 says: And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain." The person on the cross was Jesus' doppelgänger, Thomas who was known as the twin; Taowm in Aramaic and Thomas in Greek. Thomas was a Galilean as were all of the disciples.There are two gospels which mention Thomas' relationship to Jesus. The first gospel mentions Thomas' given name as Judah (Judas in Greek) and his nickname as Thomas, so he is referred to as Judas Thomas. According to the Gospel of Thomas: "These are the secret sayings that the living Jesus spoke and Didymus, Judas Thomas, recorded." Didymus means 'twin' in Greek The Gospel of Thomas dates to as early as the Epistles of Paul and is composed of the sayings of Jesus Likewise, the second gospel to reference Thomas' connection to Jesus also mentions that he was known as Judas Thomas. This gospel known as the The Book of Thomas the Contender, was originally written around 150 A. This book states: “The secret words that the savior spoke to Judas Thomas which I, even I, Mathaias, wrote down, while I was walking, listening to them speak with one another. The savior said, “Brother Thomas while you have time in the world, listen to me, and I will reveal to you the things you have pondered in your mind. “Now, since it has been said that you are my twin and true companion, examine yourself, and learn who you are, in what way you exist, and how you will come to be. Since you will be called my brother, it is not fitting that you be ignorant of yourself.” Thomas, aka Judas Thomas, according to many Christian scholars, was Jesus brother (Mark 6:3), which explains the close resemblance of these siblings. Thomas volunteered to take Jesus’ place so that Jesus could escape, and Jesus with the rest of the group could re-assemble in Galilee as was planned (Mark 14:28, 16:7). According to the Gospel of John:11, Thomas had earlier volunteered to die with Jesus when Jesus, upon hearing of the death of Lazarus, proposed to return to Judea where there was a previous attempt to stone him to death: Jhn 11:7 Then after this he (Jesus) said to the disciples, “Let us go into Judea again.” Jhn 11:8 The disciples said to him, “Rabbi, the Jews of late sought to stone you, and are you going there again?”… Jhn 11:16 Thomas, called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.” The confirmation that it was not Jesus on the cross was given by the imposter (Thomas) who declared in Matt 27:46: And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani is a misquote of Psalm 22 which says in Hebrew: ‘Eli ‘Eli lamah `azab’tani." Jesus would not have made such a mistake as he was preaching the Torah and the Tanakh in the synagogues.This misquotation is an affirmation that it was not Jesus on the cross. This misquotation may have been a subtle scoff to the chief priests, the teachers of the law, the elders as well as other jeering bystanders who were mocking him (Matt 27:41, Mark 15:31, Luke 23L45) that they had crucified the wrong man. According to Mark 15: 40 there were women followers who also witnessed the crucifixion. These women knew it wasn't Jesus on the cross. They were anxious to get Thomas down before the jeering temple authority found out the truth. The temple authority knew that Jesus was a Galilean and that he would have fled to his clan for protection. If they had discovered the ruse, these priests and pharisees would have sent the Romans after him and his disciples. According to Matthew 28:16 Jesus and his disciples made the journey safely to Galilee where he openly ate and drank with his disciples. According to Jesus' declaration in Mark 12:25, the resurrected body will be like that of an angel. According to Hebrews 1:14 angels are ministering spirits. According to Jesus in Luke 24:39:"...a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have." Jesus then proceeded to show his disciples his hands and feet which bore no wounds as he ate and drank without difficulty. So, Jesus himself demonstrated that he was alive and unhurt and perfectly able to enjoy a meal because he had not been crucified.

So we stand still and affirm that Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the cross for the sin of the world and raised from the dead on the third day. Check out the gospel of barnabas It’s been dated 2000 years ago. Barnabas lived in the time of Jesus and was highly pious spreading the word. His gospel rejects Paul and contradicts Paul’s version of the trinity and Christianity. This gospel indicates Jesus was not crucified and vindicates the Quranic verses and is in keeping with psalm 91.

Not if you understand that Jesus is God. God came to Earth in a form that humans could understand to show us the right way to live and worship. He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. And He said it to be clear "No one comes to the Father except through Me" And He sacrificed Hinself to atone for our sins. The perfect sacrificial lamb. The people of that day understood sacrifices and what that meant.

Why is a lamb needed to atone for people's sins? The atonement for sins committed against God is sincere regret, repentance and asking for forgiveness from God. If the atonement for the sins caused by injustice and evil committed against people and animals is to compensate them, it is to get even in this world or in the afterlife. Man is a being created with the ability to commit sins and good deeds. Committing sin is a feature that distinguishes humans from angels. As it is known, angels are created from light and are beings who never disobey God or sin. God created humans, and Satan and Satan's crew also created creatures. It is God who determines the sins, that is, the law, prohibitions and orders. If God wished, no human being could sin, but God did not create humans as beings who do not sin like angels, because he created humans as subject to a test in this world. This world is a temporary place of testing for people. Moreover, God loves those who believe and take refuge in God, knowing that their return after mistakes and sins is to God, and those who regret their sins and repent sincerely. He accepts their repentance and forgives them as if they had never sinned.

When you study history of many other prophets before the Jesus (pbuh), then Islam makes far more sense. When Prophet Jonah was thrown into the ocean, he was supposed to be drown and dead but God saved him from near death. When Joseph was thrown into well, he was supposed to be drown in the well and dead, but God saved him from near death. Likewise Prophet Noah supposed to be drown in the flood water, but God save him from near death. Moses was chased by biggest military ever known to Moses, but God saved Moses from near death. Prophet Lot was forcefully escorted to safety and saved by angels, when wrath of God sent down upon Sodom and Gomorrah. Prophet Daniel supposed to be eaten by lions, but God saved him from near death. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was chased by pagan-arabs but God saved him from near death. As per the Quran 4-157 Jesus was not killed nor he was crucified but it was made appeared to the enemies and God saved Jesus (pbuh) from humiliation, torture, nakedness and near death.
@LogicStandsBeforeGod2 күн бұрын
However Christians don't like the idea saving Jesus (pbuh) from humiliation, torture, nakedness and near-death ordeal as you know not killing Jesus (pbuh) means there is no-salvation waiting for Christians i.e. theologically speaking, overall not killing Jesus means major a bad news for Christians due to it collapses of Christianity as whole and wanting kill Jesus also puts Christians on the same boat as where Jews are, i.e. Christians and Jews both desire death upon the blameless prophet of God, but both wanting the death of Jesus, with different motives.

@@Palestine123-t Muslims often refer to Deuteronomy 18:18 in the Bible as a prophecy attributed to Moses, which they believe points to Prophet Muhammad: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.” Key points of Islamic interpretation: "A prophet like you (Moses)": Prophet Muhammad shared similarities with Moses: -Both were lawgivers. -Both led their people. -Both established a comprehensive way of life. "From among their brethren": Refers to the Ishmaelites (descendants of Ishmael, brother of Isaac), from whom Muhammad descended. "I will put My words in his mouth": This aligns with the Qur'anic revelation, where Muhammad recited Allah's words exactly as revealed to him. The Gospel of Barnabas explicitly mentions Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by name, which is unique among religious texts associated with Christianity. The following passage is often cited: "Jesus answered: ‘The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendor. God said: Wait Muhammad; for thy sake I will create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso shall bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed...'" (Gospel of Barnabas, Chapter 97) This passage seems to: Mention Muhammad by name. Describe him as the awaited final messenger.

Kelly you are right, martyrs dont feel pain and many prophets did go through lots of unfathomable turmoil, but the main point here is that Isa pbuh did not die nor was he killed! Allah saved him not from suffering but from being killed and Allah will send him back, and that day if noone believes it now, it will be proven then.

But if we say it happened to him without pain, then it makes no sense, because they say he suffered for our sins! Another thing I don't understand: they say bad people committed sins, and a good person paid the price. They call that logic! But when their bad son does something wrong, they don't punish their good son. I mean, the same people who claim that is logical.
