When I was a young Irish Dancer (57 now) I was absulutely blown away when I realised the older dancers doing this set dance were mimicking horses! Its obvious now, but from that day on I always look to see who 'mimics' a horse more, and this girl is outstanding!

What a talented, dedicated, hard working young woman. Why do people think that wig enhances her performance? It's reminiscent of "Toddlers In Tiaras". Let the God given talent speak for itself.

I agree ..... I much prefer the dance without the fake tan, makeup, wigs and glitz.

Amazing dance. This is very impressive speed. I do believe she was showing off more than she was dancing.

Well there are a few traditionals that will usually get the audience to pay just a bit more attention, as from experience, the people that know those tunes, also know it's longer than most other traditionals and you usually see the dancers' energy go down at some point. I've been through a number of those by now on competitions, where classmates or teachers-to-be would suddenly sit up straight just a bit more, knowing that the dancer usually just doesn't have the stamina to keep dancing as sharp from beginning to end. So yes, choosing those traditionals for your competition can usually result in heightened attention as (indeed) people think of it a bit more as showing off. But wow... I'm an Irish dancer (male) that only started at age 23 (36 now) and thus I will never be anywhere near this level but if I could pull it, I'd do it too ;)
