Spencer didn’t steal Caleb from Hanna. Caleb and Hanna were broken up for a long time and Hanna was engaged to another man, plus Spencer asked Hanna how she felt about her dating Caleb first. In One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, etc friends date each others exes and no one seems to bat an eye at that. So why is it suddenly a problem if Spencer dated Caleb after asking Hanna if she was okay with it? Not big on the whole friends dating each others exes in tv shows but it seems to be normalized in other tv shows, it’s weird to do that in reality though

I personally feel sorry for Hanna. I would be mad af if i was her. You're all forgetting Caleb left her. Cut all chords & ties without trying through tough times. lRaluca Even though Spencer waited years, that still doesn’t mean anything because first of all, Hanna didn’t even know that Spencer was pinning over Caleb let alone spending quality time with him (she sneakingly hid that from Hanna), so no, she didn’t give Hanna anything . Second, Hanna and Caleb had no way of communicating, and even if they did, communicating with and ex over a distance is different from communicating with an ex in person/face to face. My point in that is that it’s easier after not seeing your ex for so long to convince yourself that you’re over them than it is when you actually see them a lot more. That’s why Hanna probably started to get confused and conflicted with her emotions once she saw Caleb again. And about Spencer “giving Hanna years” to figure out her feelings for Caleb, well how the hell did Spencer just expect Hanna to realize she still loved him after two days of seeing him again? Like I said before, it’s different when seeing an ex in person, and love is a complicated set of feelings and emotions, so it will definitely take a while to figure things out, not days. If Spencer really wanted to be “cautious” about this situation, she would have taken things slow with Caleb instead hopping in bed with him. She didn’t even ask him how he was feeling about the whole situation of Hanna being engaged and his feelings towards Hanna (which we know he wouldn’t have denied it as he couldn’t in 7x03). The cautious thing to do would be to wait until the marriage is finalized before getting all serious, which ch Spencer neglected to do because she wanted a boyfriend so bad.

When I watched the sixth season and saw that spencer and caleb got together I was like oh no. I mean spencer did get the all clear from hanna and hanna was engaged to someone else but spencer should have still known that hanna would never be 100% okay with this, I mean, they were friends for years, and she knows all about hanna and caleb's history. Plus, I don't think that spencer was inlive with caleb, she just needed him at the time, so it seemed right, for the long term it would have never work out, the whole relationship background and history with spencer, hanna, caleb and toby would just make it so complicated.
