Compelling singing by a great artist, totally committed to this sublime text. Her flawless vocal technique allows listeners to be drawn into a deep experience of these hope filled words of Jesus that Brahms has chosen for his great Requiem aria.

This piece by Brahms is so beautiful that you can only love it. And they play and sing it divinely. How amazing is to listen to Christus words by a Soprano voice. Hanna-Elisabeth Müller brings tears to my eyes: the use of voice and expression is like a diamond - clear, beautiful, of precious quality. Thank you so much for uploading.

Hanna-Elisabeth, I sent this performance of yours to a friend whose mother died yesterday. This friend is a musician who conducts a choral group here in Asheville, North Carolina. I pray it will give her comfort, just as it is giving me as you sing. And tears are coming from me.. Gosh, I love to see and hear you sing. You are a true artist and a great person.. God bless you and keep singing.

I am very sorry for your friends loss. May this song give comfort. A mother can never be replaced. But the grief might be relieved a bit with such amazing music.

Hanna - Elisabeth, my wife Florence died Friday morning, December 10 and I am playing this in honor and memory of her. I sang the entire work - in German - several years ago with the Maryland Choral Society. It was probably the highlight of my 31 years of singing choral music. I am deriving great joy and comfort by watching and listening to you sing this great work of Johannes Brahms. Thank you so much.

I came upon this performance late Saturday night ,6 June '15, 71 years after D-Day. Coincidence? May those that fell in battle rest in peace. Ein Deutches Requiem is a fitting tribute to them. "Wie schon sind deine Wohnungen" and "Ihr habt nun Traurigkeit" sung so immensely beautifull. Thank you for such a sublime performance ! This excerpt is in my Sacred Songs/Geistliche Gesange. I'm listening over and over again.....

Lovely voice, but too light for this, probably the most emotional piece ever written. It needs more lingering, less rushing, and far more feeling. I don't feel the transition which the words and music demand - "Aber... Aber... WHAM". I should feel overwhelmed by the change of message there, from despair to certainty of reunion but I didn't, in fact I hardly heard any change in emotion throughout the whole piece. I'm sure this is a work in progress!
@tadamituyasida62912 жыл бұрын
Well, the person himself is singing hard, but Brahms is still early. His voice is thin, so it's difficult to make it sound heavy, so I'd like a wider and more sexy voice. I also think, but I don't want this person to sing too rich. Don't throw away your high-pitched fff, I want you to control it a little more Sinnbild's words in the latter half of the 6 songs, which are related to Traumgekrönt's Strauss flower, are very beautiful. As a listener, I think that religious songs are sung as if dragging, bowing, and praying. For example, like Ameling's prayer... I think only Ameling can sing the heavens. Ah, Schwarzkopf and the words are the same and almost similar, and I think my voice and range will grow as I get older. Will I be able to sing freely afterward? Well, isn't it okay to be greedy and surpass both of them?
