This is such a haunting version. Your studio cover is halfway to here, but this is all the way. The tone of the melody and passion behind the lyrics creates an entirely different interpretation (for me) of the words and what this song means. Weather you intended it not, I hear a woman who is in an impossible situation with an emotionally abusive man, nearly brainwashed into believing that this is the only life left for her. Plus, I've always been a sucker for a soulful voice and a minimalist instrumental backing.

@@hangracemusic Hannah - I am a former film director of pop promos and TV ads and the like in the UK and I have therefore seen and experienced and been in the company of many artists along this treacherous path - and I could say some more established than others but never in all my years have I seen a talent or heard a voice such as yours. In a world of overproduced dross, and yes if someone says S-Club 7 and the Venga Boys and many others then I am guilty as charged your Honour!!!. I loved and enjoyed your remix uptempo version of this which was produced a little while (Lloyds Bank?), but this performance has an undeniable honesty which is uplifting powerful, emotional and beautiful. You have a presence which commands respect - and you have mine. This was my anthem. I’ve lost people to suicide and drugs. Struggled with overweight. Jobless. Then my life went full 360.
