This is just ace. Nothing can replicate those days when garage first came about, I was there, and loved it but I just love this set. Hannah Wants is fantastic, love her vinyl sets. This is coming from a 46 year old who was there through the 90s. Nice to see a set with hardly any phones. I’m quite glad there’s no evidence of my rave days.. just enjoy yourself live in the moment band be free xx

Yea , for me speed garage was more 187 lockdown , rip groove etc Most djs played it in garage set in late 90s of course Reach & spin , Roger Ruff etc djs wanted faster grooves n bass But you could play it house n garage bumpy flava n raw speed garage bits on vinyl all together as DJ

I remember that bar - though a few years before you. I'm originally from Brum - but was lucky enough to be in London '97 - exactly where & when Speed Garage was born. Weird thing... in my experience the line "It's a London Thing" was true - I went back to B'ham knowing all the tunes - would impress the DJ's when I asked them for 'cutting edge' tracks - and they'd all play them way too fast!!
