I'm a professional musician on the east coast and did 6-7 nights a week over the summer. At one point I caught a cold, which happens every damned year. It lingered for all of July into August. This warmup video QUITE LITERALLY kept me employed. I cannot thank you enough for being so thorough and I use this warmup almost every night I have a show, which even into the winter months will be about 4x a week. We are a busy band with little free time and I have to be on my game. You are phenomenal at your job.
I started this quite literally with a very cracked voice....with a diaphragm so sore (alot of singing yesterday) and by the end my speaking voice was clear again and high notes were much clearer....only my diaphragm was too sore to support the higher ones. Thank you so so much! This one here is the real deal.....definitely coming into my daily routine. God bless you!

But a couple of days ago I couldn't sustain notes (the mum mum mum thing on here was nearly impossible) and I was sustaining notes before that. Doesn't help that I've never had a voice lesson so I don't have physical people to go to for help, so I have been online a lot. On Monday I physically couldn't control what notes came out of my mouth. It was kind of terrifying. I could go higher or lower but that was the most control I had. So definitely I've improved lol, but I was scared I had laryngitis there for a minute lol.

Get a vocal tuner app. You can use two phones. 1 to watch the videos and use the second phone to screen record your voice with the tuner. You can see which notes you are hitting and how sharp or flat you are. The app I use flashed green when you are in the right space. It also tells you the frequency you are hitting. I like to use the screen record because I can replay and see and hear what my voice was doing. I use the tuner pitched app. Also, I have an android phone and the screen record app does record when the tuner app is opened first because the app uses the microphone. I have to start the scree record and then open the tuner app. Hope this helps.

@ariapero3043 Жыл бұрын
@@merandabubbles1124 It was okay. There was a show where I ran out of cough drops and our playhouse director ran to get me some mid-show... because it was really bad. And got me menthol ones which proceeded to dry me out, but it was better than coughing up a lung and being unintelligible lol. Opening weekend was rough, but that was the only show that was that bad. Next weekend I had my voice back mostly, occasionally coughing and stuff but that's to be expected. But then I injured my knee. Like, ten minutes before the show started on Friday of that weekend. 😭 My mom was backstage, and she knows a lot about that stuff because she has a connective tissue disorder (which we think I have, I get injured a lot). Unfortunately I was in full costume and the only thing she had with her was a tape that has to go under clothes. Needless to say there was no time for that, so I did half the show on an injured knee while our playhouse director went to go get me an Ace bandage (bless him... he's the best lol). My mom helped me wrap my knee during Gaston, and I just took it easy the rest of the weekend lol. Surprisingly, my director (who didn't know about the knee thing, she was in the house that whole show) was complimenting me to the playhouse director after the show, them turned to me and told me how awesome I did and that that was my best performance. And this was a woman who did NOT give compliments, at least lightly. (It was probably because I was genuinely emotional the whole time...cuz I was in a LOT of pain the whole time lol.) But I guess it wasn't all bad LOL. All in all, I was in hell. For a lot of the time. But it was fun overall. It was just a bit overwhelming. Partly because it was first lead role.

This is super helpful because I’m supposed to be performing next week and I woke up today with voice cracks and rasps that I don’t normally have. I can only sing in a Meleanie cross Tones and I voice (a baby voice) otherwise I have cracks and it just sounds like I’m sick. I have had A LOF of water this week but nothings helping! Until this! This is what I needed!
