Practice makes perfect! Make sure you rehearse over and over, so that even when the nerves kick in, your body knows exactly what it needs to do, regardless. That inner confidence will be there. Simulate the competition/performance in training on the run-up to it (in costume). I find that really helps. Get plenty of rest and hydration the night before, and plan your meals ahead of time, so you're eating well 😁. And lastly....enjoy it! Go out there, do your best, and have fun 💖💖🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hi hannah, love your channel, I've only just started ballet this year at 36 😬 it's something I always wanted to do since I was little and now I am I love it more than I thought possible, your vids have been such a help. 😌 I can relate to when you said “it’s not about what happens to you it’s about how you react to it.” 2 weeks ago I lost my job. For the next 5 days (3 of which were over the Easter holidays) I was extremely frustrated because I couldn’t find another job so quickly. I finally let go and started to trust that God’s timing is better than mine, I know I’ll find a job sometime, but when His timing is right. 🕊️. You danced beautifully as always in this vlog!

Another inspiring video. This is the positivity I need in my life! Gutted I missed the move it festival this year. Would love meet and greet opportunities after your shows or at other events. Can’t wait to see you perform in sleeping beauty soon! 😌 As for exam prep I like to perform routines to different music or try to mark each step in reverse to ensure I truly have grasped the technique and to challenge myself mentally. Is there any where you post what events you are part of before you do your v log e.g upcoming shows and events? Would love to see more of your live shows. 💜

I remember when two of my many dreams (I’m a dreamer too!) were about to come true… I was dancing in Romania 🇷🇴 and had just been promoted, my coach had choreographed a piece just for me (no understudy 😮) for the second act and we were doing Paquita for the first act. My solo (which I’d danced quite a few times before) was the King Caudale - yeah, the one with the entrechat cinqs et arabesques first diagonal; yeah, the one that’s way over two minutes long. I love that variation. During the stage rehearsal in the morning, I dislocated my shoulder (so far my only injury, knock on wood 🪵!) and my arm was dangling out of socket. The whole piece was based on my hyper flexibility (I’m a lot like you), and Stela, my choreographer and coach told me I had to dance… like I’d ever even considered not to! So a physio popped my arm back in and I had the most magical moments that night! When you said: watch till the end, I was holding my breath the whole time and you were wonderful!
