Welcome to a new vlog series, where every Tuesday I go to a luxury London store to see what you can buy for £10. Will there be anything?! A fun excuse to enjoy the stores and see if we can get a little treat on a set budget. What would you buy and where else would you like this challenge to visit?

I remember years ago going into Selfridges and a lady on the make up counter asked if I’d like a free make over. I refused telling her that I couldn’t afford their products. She smiled and said go on , no pressure to buy anything. I said ok. Not only did she give me a lovely make over. Subtle and elegant but she gave me a Chanel carrier bag with loads of samples, eye shadows, lipsticks and half a dozen perfume samples. Made my day.

This is to me what a store like Suffridges is about it is not only buying luxury goods but the experience and that is what you are proving Hannah…you don’t need to be a billionaire to have fun and experience the joys that a store like suffridges can bring…it’s the experience the moments the joy of finding something with others thank you Hannah

That was FUN!!! More of that please! And for hair...Virtue is a great product for dry or color treated hair. Less is more. I have thick hair and I use a half penny amount.

I worked in Selfriges for my first job. I never bought a thing…couldn’t afford it!! But I still have fond memories. Thanks, Hannah, that was a lot of fun!

Don't pay any attention to the negative nancies, Hannah! I think this is a really fun and harmless challenge, in fact I do this with Harrods, Selfridges etc. online too. It's just interesting seeing what a certain amount of money can get you. I find that for a 20 pounds you can get pretty decent things (at least online). And I love your commentary so much, you manage a great balance of admiring things and taking the piss off where it's due (I feel like most of us would go "I could make that!" at that weird bag, lol).

Cheers Hannah, it’s Sean in Atlanta. You have asked a lot of make up/hair questions that, as a guy, I am not qualified to answer. I would only say that it would be incredibly difficult to improve upon perfection. I really appreciate you going to all these wonderful stores that I didn’t even think about the last time I was in London! I’m afraid I am a shopaholic, and I am enjoying these immensely. Hahaha, “let’s go have a drink”? That’s my girl! Between Harrod’s and Selfridge’s, which is your favourite? I did go to Harrod’s, since I was staying in the Earl’s Court area and of course they didn’t have the item I wanted in my size… I told you before that I enjoy your choice of music as it fits the mood and atmosphere of what you are showing me. There are items I would never have looked twice at. Cookies? Okay. Sushi is also something I would not have considered. Plus, I think you trimmed your hair? Nice! Great video and really fun, Hannah! Honestly, giving yourself a budget of 10 to 50 pounds and going into a store to pick whatever catches your eye that fits into that budget can be lots of fun nowadays (with the crazy prices). It lessens the pressure of wondering if you're going to be able to afford whatever you like!

This was a charming and clever premise. Well done you. When I was just a kid my grandmother would always give my sister and I an envelope of “pocket money.” Gifted at the start of a vacation the envelope often consisted of a ten, five, and five ones. That’s USD. Oh, the ache of that small fortune. I learned early on if I saw something I really wanted I bought it. My sister was far more calculating and would guard her $20 until the last possible moment. Great video! 👍

Fun vlog. Love the idea of a £10 challenge. I used to do a £10😮 charity shop Christmas present challenge with friends. How about filming a Primark £10 challenge lol! You could get an entire outfit. I would have bought the shortbread tin with Charles on as a joke birthday gift for a dear old friend who is anti royalist. He's used to me buying him commemorative cups and plates, hates them, is amused by them, and they are not wasted. His artist daughter sweeps them up. She loves them and uses them.

I love the 10 pound challenge…what fun…and you’re right, the experience is part of the challenge….I love going into the swanky shops and seeing what items cost in the UK….A different experience could be the Piccadilly Circus stalls that would be an interesting challenge.

Great video! We took our grandkids to England for Christmas and they each had 100 quid. Funny thing was both girls had spent time on website and made a game plan. They spent 10.00 quid at each store. I was truly impressed considering they are stores that you regularly vlog.

I'm amazed they have customers. When l worked in Mayfair 40 years ago Selfridges was BUZZING. Last time l shopped there 2015 l was the only person in whole store. Live abroad now.
