So Bricky skips over the 2nd and 11th legions because in the official lore, those primarchs and their legions vanished without a trace and all records of them have disappeared. It basically gives players the freedom to just paint their Marines our own choice of colours and create our own lore for them, and have them still be canon (or at least canon-adjacent).

That's not true. The 2nd and 11th legion are not meant for players to fill in, it just has been repeated by the community without checking. RIck Priestley himself confirmed it. The Lost Legions are only part of the lore as an unknowable mystery to add some spice to the lore. The 1000 space marine chapters are the place for players to make their own lore

It's also a reference to Legio IX Hispana, AKA the Lost Legion (11 - 2 = 9). It was one of those throw-away trivia bits in Rogue Trader. They've maintained it since then since players started to use it as a background for making their own chapters.

12:20 "tanky" refers to the role of "tank" in multiplayer games such as MMORPGs. A tank is designed to draw the enemy's attention and take a lot of damage, giving the damage dealing team members the opportunity to... well, damage the enemy without being attacked themselves. The tank is in turn the main "target" of the healer, who works to keep them alive. So someone who is "tanky" can take a lot of damage/ shrug said damage off. Hope that helps :) The whole "coughing on Horus" thing was meant to represent the Emperor killing Horus. And in regards to the gods: They do exist. But they are basically representations of emotions of all beings with souls. A soul is basically your reflection in the Warp, which is the parallel dimension in which the gods and other beings reside. The more you worship them or act in ways that strengthen them, the more powerful they get. So serving and worshipping them makes them more powerful and influential and starving them of worship would weaken or even destroy them. And no, your average joe "40k plumber" does not know about the gods. But that's mainly because the Imperium of Man tries its hardest to suppress any knowledge of them and basically kills everyone who knows of them.

@simondemoulin5815 Жыл бұрын
To give 3 examples of their kindness, you just need to know what they do during the Third war for Armagueddon, an ork invasion : - While the Ultramarine were defending the hives cities and the Blood-Angel were attacking the orks on the field, the Salamander were occupied with escort duty on supply transfert and on civilian evacuation. A simple but without glory task for a space marine but nonetheless accepted with joy by this chapter. - During a long siege, the Salamanders send their Tech-marines (one of the best of the Imperium, with the Iron Hands chapter) repairing the main water treatment facility of an entire Hive city, saving all the civilian and guardsmen from dehydratation (you must remember that a Space-marine has inhuman endurance, they don't need food or drink as much as a normal man). A guy capable of maintaining a tank in tip-top shape gladly accept to go do some plumbing in a warzone. - A legendary sucker-punch was deliver by the Chapter-Master of the Salamander to a captain of the Marines Malevolent (a TRULY EVIL chapter, loyalist but with many voice asking to declare them heretics) because the orks manage to break inside a refugee camp and the captain immediatly call an artillery strike on it.

"Tanky" is a term for characters in an RPG who are built to take damage and force the attention of the enemy on themselves. A "tank" typically has high health, high armor, and their main purpose is usually to act as a "meat shield" that the enemy has to spend time whittling down. Their focus is less on dealing damage and more on just being hard to kill.

"Don't the Chaos Gods get jealous of each other?" Yep. Intensely so. The path of Chaos Undivided is walking an even sharper knife edge than usual when it comes to Chaos Worship. If one of the Gods feels like they're getting the short end of the stick, you die horribly. If you don't impress all Four of them, you die horribly. If you start to drift to one out of the Four, you die horribly. If you do everything right, you may still die horribly due to getting over stuffed with the blessings of Chaos. If you manage to avoid dying horribly, though, you'll be a fucking power house. "Does the Plumber know about the Gods?" Well, he knows the Emperor is real. He probably knows that Heretics and Xenos worship their own depraved gods that the Emperor protects him from. Anything more detailed than that and the Ecclesiarchy and the Inquisition start to ask very pointed questions about why and how he knows. After which point, he probably dies horribly. As for the Salamanders, they're basically like giant firebreathing guard dogs. If you're an imperial citizen, they are big, warm, and friendly. If you aren't an imperial citizen, your living privilege lasts only so long as you stay far away. If you approach, you'll die horribly and the Galaxy's Goodest Bois will prance back to the Imperium for head pats and ear scritches.

One of the quirks of becoming a space marine is it tends to change some physical characteristics of the person becoming one. So, like Raven Guard all tend to get pale skin and black eyes, Space Wolves get yellow eyes and large canines ect. However, they also are recruiting from entire planetary populations and beyond, so a lot of the marines will have a variety of ethnicities and accents. So, on 1 hand all Salamanders do have the coal black skin and blazing red eyes but they're not all of African descent. However, most of them are African just but facial structure, clearly. Honestly, I think that was more because in the past, they were just the "black guy" Chapter, but they wanted to change it to something more inseresting.

About the Salamanders ashy skin: by the time they had colonised their planet, racism in humanity didn’t exist. It’s fair to assume settlers came from all ethnic backgrounds, and by now most humans would be very mixed race. However many thousands of years between them settling and the 41st millennium is plenty of time for natural selection to take place, in this case favouring the ashy skin colour. The Salamanders aren’t of African descent specifically, they’re just a bunch of humans who over thousands of years evolved ashy skin. Hence why you have a shifty looking white dude with the ashy skin colour. There could just as easily be someone of East Asian descent, for example, with the skin tone. This is how I like to think about it from a lore standpoint, but yeah, their concept was probably borne from some insensitivity. Any Space Marine can be any ethnicity, even a made up one, but for some reason they are always depicted as white in official artworks. Warhammer is predominately a white British guy hobby (which is fine), but the lack of effort to broaden the consumer demographic is frustrating to me.

4:30: the fact that she had to pause and actively remember the White Scars is the saddest and most accurate way to describe them XD Big edit about faith and gods in universe: In 30k (10 000 years before the modern setting) the Imperium , as per the Emperor's wish, was the model of atheistic state. No gods, no faith, just logic and science. It was so because the emperor knew of the chaos gods and wanted to starve them of their "food" which is faith and worship. Each chaos god gets a little bit of sustenance from specific unconscious emotions but when an action is done specifically in that Chaos God's name and to the most extreme extent possible, that sustenance is more fulfiling to them. Thus, the Chaos Gods are cancer to reality as they are because they will always drive their worshippers to do more extreme stuff to feed them (sex -> R word -> R word + killing -> R word + killiing + camnibalism and necroph**ia, and so on) If no one knew about them, they wouldn't "die" but they would be too weak to mess with the material world. Long story short..that plan fell apart thanks to Horus and Lorgar. Modern day 40k, the average citizen (plumber Joe) only knows about one God which is the Emperor. Faith is understood as capable of miracles by the citizenry and Ecchlesiarchy (priest class) but only by and through the emperor's grace and will. The mechanics of how faith works with the Warp to shape and mold reality though are not common knowledge because people are too arrogant and would try to "tame" the Warp but at most it's like a circus lion (does the trick 9 times and 1 time will eat you).Any knowledge about the Chaos gods or demons is so heavily censored that it's just all barcode. Because Chaos corrupts so thoroughly if Joe found out about it and was caught or even just accused of being some form of heretic he would be instantly shot dead by the Arbites (police) or an Inquisitor, no qualms or questions asked and certainly no trial. Same goes if Joe just was overheard spouting anything remotely atheistic. If demons attacked Joe's planet and Space Marines saved it but Joe saw a demon him, his family ,his neighbours and everyone in their families, work collegues and everyone even remotely aquainted with them would all either be immediately killed by the Inquisition or put in sterilization camps and/or shipped off to some hellhole forced labor mining world to die from overwork. It's extreme and horrible but worlds can fall to Chaos from just one person reading one line from a forbidden tome and going down the rabbit-hole so the Inquisition gives abolutely 0 fu*ks and doesn't take any chances when it comes to corruption, hence why to be a heretic is to be only ever deserving of death
@aristosachaion_ Жыл бұрын
Just touching on the whole, "does the average Imperial citizen know about Chaos" question, no they don't, and that's on purpose. The Imperium understands-too well-that believing in Chaos and its dark gods gives them strength, so they do their damndest to expunge all knowledge of it from the general public, because even just KNOWING Chaos exists makes you vulnerable to their temptations.

In turn, Khorne will accept the offered skull and adorn it at the base of his Throne, knowed as the Skull Throne, wich is an enormous Mountain where the Skulls of ALL the living creatures killed in his name are collected, be it Foes, or his Champions. I think there was a short story about the chapter of the Salamanders called "the Black Dragons" Due to a mutation, their bones break and keep growing into spikes, leaving them deformed. They look horrendous and are in constant pain. Once a group of Black Dragons found a cave where some humans where taking refugees, and the children were frightened by these armor clad giants with bone spikes tearing through their armor. One of the Space Marines was about to remove his helmet to assure the children that they were human and their to help. A comrade stopped him and said "You're just going to scare them more if they see your face." and both laughed. That put the kids at ease. That genuine joy. And it proves they are Vulkan's sons because they enjoy a good roasting!

One of the other great things about guilliman is that he has a mom, which means he was raised kind of normal (as can be in this universe) and actually uses logic when making decisions. I may not enjoy the 40k Ultramarines much, but guilliman is awesome! I'm glad you came around to finishing this video. There's more 40k stuff I think we'd love to have you watch, like some of the stuff from weshammer, majorkill and pancreasnowork. But I understand not wanting to mess up your algorithm and turning the channel into a 40k focused one. As such, allow me to suggest a very similar universe to 40k that you can watch some videos on instead- battletech. The best starting point for that imo is Battletech 101, by Black Pants Legion, narrated by the incredible Tex with his awesome voice, with very good production value and fantastic presentation overall. Have a good one!

Facts for HannaH: 2nd and 11th don't really get any information because of 2 reasons: 1 lore, 1 IRL. Lore reason is that during the crusades those 2 primarchs and their legions had done such horrible deeds that they were all executed, and all information was erased about them, from statues, to records, and even memories from the minds of all the primarchs. The IRL reason is that since there are 20 legions for the original game, 10 loyalist, 10 traitor, but only 9 were mentioned for each, the last one would be so that the player could make a custom legion of their own. Angron was enslaved and had the nails forced into his head, and the nails in his head could not be removed even by the Emperor because if he did it would kill Angron even though the nails were slowly killing him. Angron hates the Emperor for 1 reason: Angron led a slave revolt on his planet, his army burned cities, until they were all surrounded by the planet's army (Imagine 300 last stand, but instead of Spartans it's weak and malnourished slaves, and instead of the Persians, you get the entire US army in terms of weapons and firepower) the Emperor rescued Angron, and ONLY Angron, and he had to watch as his fellow slaves were slaughtered from orbit. The Emperoro's response was worse, he didn't care about the slaves because "he had bigger plan for humanity, and rescuing slaves was not a part of it." Guilliman wanting to die can be summed up like this. He was injured during 30k when Fulgrim slashed his throat then put into stasis to be kept alive, he woke up and saw his home under attack and fought them off. When he learned of the entire situation of 40k, everything he worked for during 30k had failed. Comparison: 30k: Innovation was the goal | God's aren't worshipped, neither is the Emperor | The codex was meant as guidelines for marines. 40k Innovation is punished by death | The Emperor is their god now, anything otherwise is heresy | The codex became law for many chapters. He has to lead what he HATES, and has to use his wits and politicking to keep the empire alive. Thousand sons, they were "grounded" during the heresy because of the dangers of psykers at the time. Magnus tried to warn the Emperor that Horus had betrayed them by sending a Psychic message, accidentally destroyed the wall that kept demons outside of the Imperial palace on terra, the Emperor saw Magnus had summoned demons into his palace, and ignored Magnus's warnings. He ordered Leman Russ, and the Space Wolves to arrest Magnus, but Horus (secretly chaos, they don't know about it yet) tricks Leman into believing the order was changed to kill Magnus and his legion. This became the "Burning of Prospero", Magnus and Leman fought hard, and it ended when Magnus's spine was snapped into pieces by Leman with a backbreaker. The legion was saved when Ahriman, a sorcerer of the legion, made a deal with Tzeentch to save them, but they were turned to dust, now they 'pilot' their armor and are called rubric marines. Magnus, however, had his mind shattered from the backbreaker, and the fragments were gathered again to save him but he became disillusioned with the Imperium, and the last shard of him was missing. The last shard of him was taken by a Loyalist thousand son, and would later become the founder of the Grey Knights. The thing about Imperium plumber and chaos. No. Because for the most part, the majority of the Imperium does not know about Chaos, the inquisition keeps this so. Because if they learn about Chaos, the influence has a chance to spread, so they mostly only know about "heretical cultists" or "xenos" but never truly Chaos itself. Only the frontlines ever know about Chaos, and every now and then, some Chaos influence can spread secretly onto worlds, and the people don't know it's Chaos until it is too late.

here's the answer to your question about whether or not an average citizen knows about gods: The average imperial citizen believes in god, for the higher ups in the imperium (inquisition) ideally, that god would be the emperor of mankind directly, however since the Imperium is so vast with thousands of different cultures and different technological levels, the people might believe in something else, which the Inquisition would count as "believing in the emperor but with a different visage". For example, There is a moment in the first Eisenhorn novel, Xenos, written by Dan Abnett, where the inquisitor visits an ice planet where they worship the sun. here is the direct quote from the book: "Aemos whispered in confidence. 'What happened last night is a major tragedy for this world. Yellow is their holy colour. I believe the local religion is a solar belief The sun as Emperor?' 'Common enough. Extreme here, for obvious reasons." so in that sense they do believe in god, however they do NOT know about chaos gods, as even knowing about them opens you up for corruption. The Inquisition and the Ecclesiarchy make sure that knowledge is not available to the masses for that reason.

11TH (and 2nd) Legions mystery are, In Lore, 2 Legions that got destroyed by the Space WOlves on Orders of the Emperor and they where expunged from Imperial records and a Ban was issued by Big E that anyone, ANYONE(even Primarchs) who mentioned the missing Legions names, would meet Severe punishement. Its up in the air and up for Theories what those 2 Legionsa ctually did to deserve such a horrible fate. One of the few possibilities is that their Geneseed was so botched and had such hazardous mutations, that they became Mutant monstrosities, that the Emperor prefered to put them out of their misery and delete their existance...literaly From a Game's perspective; it leaves a bit of Mystery and also leeway for players to create their Own Chapters with their Homebrewed origines, instead of the Player SM army and models being part of an existing Legion/Chapter, players could invent their own Lore and Heraldry for their Sm Chapter.

Explanation for the Salamanders being "black". All Space Marines have an organ that auto-adjusts the melanin in their skin to account for ambient radiation (essentially a natural defense against skin cancer), but in the Salamanders' gene-seed, that organ is stuck in up-to-11 output. Nocturne has higher-than-Earth-standard ambient radiation so its people are naturally dark-skinned, but when they become Salamanders and get that organ implanted, it super-saturates their skin with melanin and gives them that coal-black look. It also somehow causes the red eyes, but I'm not sure about how that works.

Vulkan and Salamanders aren't black like today's Earth black people. I mean they can be, but they aren't exclusively black. No Space Marine chapter is exclusively any race, however they do take on some features of their Primarchs, since the gene-seed literally rewrites a recruit's DNA

The Salamanders are somewhat the nice guys, petting kittens, helping old ladies cross the road sort of Space Marines, but they still fit the grim-dark part of the setting because their kindness and selflessness only applies to humanity. They are loyal to the ideology of the Imperium and are therefore extremely xenophobic. There was one instance during the Great Crusade where the Salamanders had just conquered a planet controlled by the Eldar, and their Primarch Vulkan is super pissed off about something so he expressed his anger by burning an Eldar child to death. Granted he kinda sorta felt bad about it after, but not really.
@JustAGuyDrawing Жыл бұрын
The salamanders are indeed just kind. However within the chapter the 3rd company (aka The Pyroclasts) take no chances when it comes to routing out heretics or xenos sympathisers and will often put the innocent to the flame alongside them deeming them acceptable casualties. They also really really like getting up close and personal with flamethrowers as the name suggests lol. They're still Salamaders so they're nice like the rest of the chapter but they strive to embody Vulkan's pragmatism alongside that kindness, each of them carry the weight of the terrible things they had to do and share in their sorrow with a lot of the veterans, officers and their chapter master. Not sure if you know or not but a Chapter master is basically their leader, the current one for the Salamaders, Master Tu'Shan, is essentially just keeping Vulkan's seat nice and toasty for him while they find all his artifacts and he decides to come home or he resurrects (since like the Emperor he actually can't die). They never actually said what really happened to him exactly in the lore.

About God(s) in 40k. In the Imperium there are two distinct "phases" of religion. 1. When the Emperor was alive he forbade any and all religious worship because he was convinced any worship would ultimately lead to worshiping the Chaos Gods as they are very insidious and manipulative. This is the thing that messed up Lorgar of the Word bearers, because he saw the Emperor as divine and the Emperor punished him for it, ironically driving him to the Chaos Gods. 2. After the Emperor's Death he was declared a God by the Imperium (not immediately, but shortly after) and the worship of him as the one true God was mandated for all citizens. Basically no regular people are aware of the Chaos gods or demons.

The common meme of the Salamanders is that they love the people they protect, they love the children of the people they protect, and they love humans in general, and to protect those humans, they just need to finish up boiling that small elf child alive using the heat of the sun. This is a meme because this is actually a thing they did. Good thing we're humans.

The plumber knows that the “Ruinous Powers” exist as a malevolent force in the galaxy, but are purposefully kept in the dark as much as possible about the true nature of chaos by organizations like the Inquisition. The general idea pushed is that only the Emperor of Mankind is a ‘true god’ and worthy of worship and devotion. At least that’s how I understand it.

The Alpha Legion developped this kinda tactics as a neccesity. Since they where the Last Legion to find their Primarchs during the Great Crusade, they din't have the Numbers of Marines that the other Legiosn had for large scale assaults and warfare. If the typical Legion was 50.000 Space Marines, strong, the AL (short fo Alpha legion) had like 10.000 (spitballing the numbers here, but you get the idea) And since the Great Crusade was allready well underway when they joined it, they din't have the time to recruit and train as many Soldiers as the others. So Alpharius and Omegon devised this kind of tactics that allowed them to win wars, without even needing to fight it, a War in the Shadows. Byt replacing Key figures in a governing structure with men of their own, by capturing said Men, brainwash them with psycho conditioning and when the moment was right, have them switch sides. Or even instigating Coups and revolts from the people, that would then kick off a revolution, throwing down their own Governement, evne if that governement was actually benevolent towards them in the beginning, by the use of fake Media and propaganda and fake evidences, For them to then take the key positions in the "new governement" and be in control of the planet. These Methods was often regarded by the other Primachs and legions as Disloyal and unbecoming of a Space Marine's Spirit and Pride, and the Al was often mocked and ridiculed by the others, as being "not real warriors". But the AL results where speaking for themselfs and they where damn efficient at what they did. After the Horus Heresy the AL kept that way of fighting. It is still kinda up in the air if they are Traitors or not, they are viewed as such sinc the effectively joined Horus in his rebellion, but they work in Mysterious ways and their end goal is not knowed by anyone but themselfs and their Primarchs... They are as likely to bring down and Imperial world and destroy it, than they are to save it from an external threat, evne tho they don't do it cause they care or are kind, but because it serves a purpose in the Long game...

To sum up: the warp is shaped by emotions and thoughts of soul possessing species. If enough people feel or believe something it becomes real in the warp. Chaos Gods are such constructions and need people to feel their flavour of emotion to feed on it and believing in them feeds them more. They exist and are evil because of how absolutely horrible 40k universe is and thusly warp is oversaturated with certain concepts and emotions. (They aren’t technically gods but “spiritual emotion parasites” that have hijacked the name to make themselves more powerful) This is why Emperor tried to enforce secular belief as it would have denied the believe in supernatural, warp would have made that real “killing” chaos gods. (If there is a god, there must be a devil. Is the logic as to why chaos gods support religious believes.) Sorry, for the long explanation, the lore is intriguing but loooooong.

It's been explained by others already, but the word 'tanky' as a description comes from the gaming term 'Tank'. A Tank is any character that fills the archetypical role of someone who can take a hit and still keep on going. As a writer, the term 'brute' or 'juggernaut' may be more familiar to you. In essence, the typical characteristics of a Tank are: - A high pool of vitality and vigor, which allows them to survive hits that would put down anyone else; - Heavy armor, usually knightly plate and a big shield; - Conversely, a considerable lack of said armor but relies on inner strength instead to endure said hits, much like the fantasy barbarian; - Oftentimes bulkier than everyone else in the adventuring group (think Strongman builds like Eddie Hall, Brian Shaw, Halfthor Bjornsson) If we were to take the Space Marines as a comparison to a standard Imperial Guardsman? All Space Marines would be considered tanky as hell. The Death Guard just happen to lean into that to an ungodly degree as part of their kit

Tecnically the gods of chaos are the manifestations of the emotions of all sentient species in the galaxy that took form in the warp/the paralel dimension thing. Hence, for most citizens of the Imperium, the knowledge about the existence of those gods are not only forbidden, but considered a heresy. Theres theories (fan made/not really loreful) that if everyone (all sentient species) stopped believing/worshiping the chaos gods, they would disappear or get soo weak that they wouldnt be a problem anymore.

It should probably be noted that Slaneesh is a lot of things but is ALSO the Chaos God who most outright is all about horrific cruelty and sadism; Nurgle might be gross but he honestly does seem to think he's doing you a favor. It's twisted, but on the other hand, Slaneesh is just plain horror and pain through and through. The Salamanders aren't just nice by 40k standards, they are outright heroic, and while i don't think its been addressed conclusively in canon, I believe that Vulkan's known antipathy towards the Eldar is a result of the Dark Eldar preying on his people, and he genuinely doesn't realize they are different factions; you've probably seen people memeing about the time he killed an Eldar child, and he DID feel horrified afterwards. I mean, it's a small thing; he still killed a kid, regardless of being a nonhuman, so him feeling any kind of regret makes him unbelievably moral in this setting. The art for the Salamanders shown here also kind of shows that every single artist differs on whether the Salamanders look like very tall svartalfar, and if their ancestors were African; for what its worth the general trend seems to be towards the latter in art and other sources, as the audio books apparently have them speaking with a sub-subharan speaking style. Angron is genuinely one of the most tragic characters in the setting; having his head opened and filled with surgical devices that leave him unable to feel anything but rage without horrific suffering, he wanted to die on his home planet with his fellow slaves, fighting to the death at their side against their tormentors, and the Emperor simply teleported him away and left his friends to die. The Emperor is further shown as being particularly antipathic towards him, exclusively referring to him by number and not his name. Angron is a tormented figure who fell to Chaos because at least it made the pain hurt less, and he is suggested to heavily resent Roboute Guilliman to, from his perspective, having been handed everything.

No, the best, most wholesome and kindest and most hopeful marines are the "lamenters". Tragic fate, yes. Cursed? Perhaps. But no matter what is thrown at them, they always give 110% and every human life counts for them.

So Gods in 40k do exist but on a separate plane of the Warp. They are both beings with shapes as well as particular concepts. Most of the Imperium don't know that they exist, as worship of the Emperor dictates that the Emperor is the only god around. The other factions for the most part acknowledge the true existence of the Chaos Gods, but don't worship them. Fun(??) Fact: The Imperial Cult, the religion that currently envelops the Imperium, is based on the writings of heretic Lorgar, the primarch that worships Chaos. So the Emperor by trying not to have religion in the Imperium by punishing Lorgar for worshipping him as such, caused the entire Imperium to do just that.

In the 40k universe, belief in a Deity directly impacts that Deity's power, the more mortals believe in them, worship them, venerate and pray to them, the stronger they become, in fact, it's implied that enough people believing in a god legitimately wills that God into existence in the warp, giving them consciousness and agency, the Quorks were created by the old ones to fight the Necron, but devolved without their guiding hand, becoming the Orks as they're known today, but the Orks don't know that, they developed their own mythology, the gods Gork and Mork, symbolizing brutal cunning and cunning brutality, and through the concerted, focused belief of the Orks, Gork and Mork are now fact, having come into being and taken up aspects and powers in both the warp and in the physical universe, the same goes for the Eldar, once creations of the Old Ones, now possessed of an entire Pantheon, it's even implied that the fanatical zealotry of the Imperium has Apotheosized the Emperor, turning him from the albeit immensely powerful Psyker he was into a true deific being, locked into the Golden Throne as he is, his influence through the warp is such that he can imbue people with power and at one point even possessed Guilliman's body, battling the chaos gods and legitimately wounding the god of rot, Nurgle

The reason for the look with the alpha legion is they are supposedly heretic, but there have been many times since the heresy and even during it, where they did actions that ended up helping the empire. But they also have done many things to show they are heretics. So it's confusing that no one really knows if they are heretic or loyal.

20:07 The gods of chaos (at least these four) are beings of the immaterium, i.e. space beyond physical reality, where the laws of the psyche and emotions work instead of the laws of physics. The immaterium is a sewer for the emotions of living intelligent beings and all their emotions flow into the immaterium. The god Khorne is the embodiment of anger and hatred of all intelligent beings and in fact was born precisely in the flow of these emotions. And the birth of the god Slaanesh occurred as a result of a colossal flow of Eldar emotions in the form of emotions of lust and hedonism. Nurgle and Tzinch probably (judging by the logic of lore wh40k) originated during the war in heaven, when the Necrons and The Old Ones were at war with each other - the Necrons arrived in constant decline and death (greetings from Nurgle), and the ancients were the strongest psionics aka magicians (greetings from Tzinch). According to this, the gods (in fact, the incarnation) chaos and feel the pleas of all mortals and actively respond to them. But the other gods of the WH40k universe behave extremely inert, perhaps because they are not poorly thought out by the authors.

Im curently puting a Ork army together, but its more for display and to do something creative. If I was to make a actual game army it would ether be Space Wolves or Salamanders. Is there a address we can send you PS5 games you might like, or a email we can send you Audible books?

Orks are really flexible in how they play with the different clans and scratch building. You can go full horde or heavy armor. You can make Ork lootaz who steal Space Wolf and Salamander gear to make Ork "Spaze Mureenz."

@@HannaHsOverInvested I don't go super crazy when painting, if I'm stressing myself out it kind of defeats the point. So I guess you could say my minis look "rustic" lol. I actually learned from a kit a company called "Reaper Bone" sells.

The neverborn (never-born? Don't know the spelling) is referring to chaos demons, since they aren't born so much as formed from chaos itself. Also neverborn is probably the coolest name for demons I've ever heard, so there's that

The only thing really known about the 11th is that they were close with Lorgar, and when they *REDACTED* He apparently took it pretty hard and was never quite the same(according to his marines).

Tanky as in like a Tank is resilient and strong. Essentially can take a hit or a multitude of hits and keep going. The opposite of squishy which is fragile and can't take as many hits and usually rely on stealth and/or agility to avoid damage.
