Never knew the naval game could be so goshdaurrn exciting! This game Attila is so much better than basic Rome2. Hope you push into "Libya" province and grab what you can. An alliance or friendship w Ptolemy is your best choice for security.

Couldn't you raise another fleet and raid (gain income from it???) - make the fleet (by your enemies) pay for itself?

Possibly... but Rome and their allies would target it directly. And if it's not strong enough to defend itself it will just get destroyed.
