Hannibal producers etc are still contracted and forbidden to talk to other companies about picking up the show until the current rights run out. Rights run out in Aug 2017 which means they can officially talk to other companies about the show returning after that date.

I respect Bryn fuller what he is going to do but is a silence of the lambs season to early. Is it better for season 6 the final season to be a silence of the lambs that would make a surprise season but season 4. Being silence of the lambs just kinda of a rush because he just did the red dragon story well I'm still hyped if season 4 is going to be silence of the lambs I'm hyped and he is planing season 4 to be a 8 part mini series that's something new and different raggy what you think of Bryn fuller doing a mini series

Completely exceeded my expectations this series did. I guess you could say I was a Fannibal before the term was ever even coined. Read all of Thomas Harriss' books except for Black Sunday. Read them twice actually. what blew me away was Mads Mickelson's portrayal of the good doctor in terms of how similar it was to the way he is actually described in the novels. He is often described as being "sleek like an other's head". In no way shape or form am I downing Anthony Hopkins performance. His rendition will always be legend. But there was something about Mads walk, talk, and look. The sound of his voice and even his mannerisms. He truly brought the character to life from the page. Of course, Mr. Mickelson also had the advantage of three seasons of television to flesh out the character and explore him. But he did still manage to do things in a matter of one scene or two that were more captivating than any scene in TSOTL. In any event, Anthony Hopkins will always be held in the utmost estimate for his portrayal, but Mads truly encapsulated the character for me. If the series comes back, it will literally be the only television that I watch.

I can't even imagine what season 4 would be like. Part of me wishes this story not to continue. The ending of season 3 was so strong, I cried like a baby.

Emmy nominations came out this month and it's just criminal that Hannibal was snubbed again. I was really hoping that season 3 would finally catch people's attention :-(

It got one nomination I believe. But really I see the Emmy's as a popularity contest rather than an actual awards show. Hannibal, Black Sails, Outlander, Penny Dreadful, Leftovers etc are just a few shows to not get their deserved recognition. It tends to be other, slightly smaller award shows which treat the shows right. The Saturn Awards 2016 a little while back gave Hannibal the Best Action/Thriller TV Series and Richard Armitage won Best Supporting Actor so their credibility is so much higher in my book.

Canceling this show is just a crime, ut completely blows my mind that NBC repeatidly wanted to cancel it, and even Netflix and Amazxon were stupid enough to drop the series. consider myself a hard person to please when it comes to judging TV/movies, and Hannibal is a work of art plain and simple. The only possible critique I have of the show is the pacing is a bit ifffy (too slow) at some points, and that's it. Every other aspect is excellent.

Netflix didn't really drop it, Amazon has rights to the show still and would only sell it to Netflix for a very VERY high price (since Amazon isn't very fond of Netflix) so Netflix passed on the opportunity. Amazon wanted to pick it up but they wanted to do it immediately after 3rd seasons end which Bryan Fuller declined, he wanted time to write the script like he had time to write the script for the 1st season of Hannibal. The timing & circumstances were not right at the time. As this video says in August 2017 talks will resume since it will be 2 years after last episode got aired and all the rights will come back to Dino De Laurentiis Company (DDLC) and anyone interested in renewing Hannibal can buy it again. Fannibals are still recommending Hannibal to get picked as the original show to Netflix, Hulu, FX Networks etc. and will do so still in the future. First of all you need to watch all the movies first with Anthony Hopkins so you can get a strong feel for the T.V. show Hannibal Returns and then you can catch up on how they added to the T.V. show these guys are really good actors and that's how the T.V. show was so good if you love all that creepy stuff I know I do LOL....So I hope these lazy bums get to rolling and bring it back soon........Injoy.......

We lost Penny Dreadful - another masterpiece. Wayward Pines will only get a third season. Mr. Robot is kicking ass but will that end at three seasons also. Very curious about The Exorcist.... It looks great so far. American Horror Story started off well but is no where near in the same league as Hannibal or Penny Dreadful. The Leftovers will also end after season 3. Bring back Hannibal PLEASE! oH yes, did anyone see Damien on A&E. It was pathetic. Season one and done. Walking Dead still has it's appeal but not like indie type followers for Hannibal, Penny Dreadful and Mr. Robot. Have yet to see Bates Motel. Please bring Hannibal back.

Wow! Raggy, you sound *a lot* like the actor Joseph Gilgun (from TV shows "Misfits" & "Preacher") - sorry, kinda random, but I just had to mention the voice resemblance cuz it's uncanny, and this is my first time hearing/watching one of your videos! Are you from a Northern part of England? I know that accents can greatly vary from region to region in the UK - but again, you sound like that above mentioned actor and I believe he hails from the Lancashire region. Cheers! ;) P.S. - I too really, really, *really* hope that they are one day able to bring back Hannibal - one of the best tv shows ever made with such a fantastic cast (especially Mads and Hugh!) - thanks for the update! Raggy, I've been with your Hannibal review videos since the beginning! You're hands down the best at it! Now, for the season 4 details from Hugh Dancy - do you think that what they meant with the show returning to season one, that Will could be replacing Garret Jacob Hobbs, since he has a family like Hobbs did and that he may actually murder them? Maybe the hint at season 4 might actually be in the few Abigail/Hobbs scenes in S3E9, which felt a bit unconventionally placed... I'd like to hear your thoughts, even though it's pure speculation. :)

Hey, thanks :) I understand the whole premise for the story of S4 is based off one line of interaction between Hannibal and Will. Honestly not sure which as I've not read the books, but I trust Bryan with what ever idea he has in mind. I have a feeling that in the end arc though, Hannibal will be going after Alana to fulfill his promise. Will, whom will have been living alongside Hannibal for some time, will begin to "wake up" or something along those lines, and try to stop Hannibal. I think he will fail, but will shoot Hannibal in the process, with Hannibal also injuring Will. Then the last shot of S4 is Clarice meeting Hannibal for the first time. Begin S5 and SOTL. Well, one can hope!

Watching Person of Interest from the beginning again as I was a couple of seasons behind so I thought I'd just restart it all. About 2/3 through S1 atm. Then after I'm done with that I would like to watch Preacher (I'm informed that is a good show), Mr Robot and I might not be able to resist a Hannibal rewatch haha :D. And to answer your question, yes at some point I intend to do full episode reviews for Season 1 of Hannibal, since it's the only season I miss. ;)

I'm not so sure about that, after all, they adapted the novel Hannibal in the first half of season three, and Will's not in the book. I hope if they do ever get to SOTL, they include Will, because to me this show would not be the same without the dynamic between Will and Hannibal.

If we get more seasons I think Will has to be apart of them. The Will/Hannibal dynamic is the core of the show so they won't simply remove him and replace him with Clarice. If anything I think Will would assist Clarice from time to time. She would have her own material of course from SOTL, but I can see Will popping up to help her hunt down Buffalo Bill. Damnit.... even typing this I cannot help but crave Hannibal escaping from his cell in the same style as to how he did in the film. Mads wearing one of the officers faces then taking it off.... frightening as hell.

I've seen some time ago on tumblr a post of one of fannibals that met Bryan Fuller and had time to talk to him and in secret he told her that he found a way to do SOTL/Clarice story without removing Will from it and having them together in the hopeful future season five. I agree with all of you also on the fact that since episode one this tv show was about Will & Hannibal. Their relationship is the core of the series and if one of them got missing it wouldn't be the same... so I really do hope we will get those next 3 seasons instead of a movie coz we would get so much more material from a tv show then a two hours movie.

every season was ended in a way that if the tv show didn't get renewed the endings would be satisfying in that regard. yet each of those 3 seasons was also ended in such a way that the next season could be continued if needed. those endings aren't definitive. there is a lot we as audience are left wondering about and can imagine how it ends in our own heads. just like in the 3rd season. if there will be no more seasons: Hannibal & Will died on that cliff. if they will get a green light to do those next 3 seasons Bryan Fuller planned then Hannibal & Will survived that cliff and future season 4 will be about it.

But if the series doesn't get renewed then we can take the ending as Hannibal & Will dying on that cliff. But as of now the ending is very vague.
