It's day 2 in our 17 day long trip in Vietnam. We spent the first two days in Hanoi.

This is an easy to follow 24 hour or one day itinerary in Hanoi. Hanoi old quarter is very beautiful and exploring it and getting lost in the alleys of
Old quarter is a different experience.
You can check out innumerable cafes and coffee shop chains like Cong Cafe, Highlands, Starbucks but you can also try the smaller individual shops which have become so famous like the Note Coffee.
You can follow the following itinerary if you have a day in Hanoi.
Tran Quoc Pagoda, Juan Thanh Temple, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son temple & Horn Kiem Lake, The Note Coffee, Evening Explore Old Quarter and Beer street.
Other places that can be explored are Train Street, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Imperial Citadel of That Long.
